How to Get There
This hotel was lovely and the Staff couldn't be more attentive. It is very central for sightseeing with plenty of shops and Tapas Bars on your doorstep. Our room was really nice and had a huge sunny balcony with sunbeds and a table and chairs (room 502) with a lovely view of the street. Despite facing the busy street we heard no noise at night whatsoever. The owners seem to have thought of everything. We had a chilled bottle of Cava waiting for us when we checked in which was a lovely touch. The toiletries provided were of good quality and good size (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body balm) so no need to bring any with you. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. We really couldn't fault it! If I had to find a negative, the only thing was there was only 1 english speaking channel on the TV which seemed to be a 'financial' channel, however who is sitting in watching TV when you are on holiday? Overall a great hotel which I would highly recommend!
I have stayed a few days for work and it was an excellent choice. The location is perfect to move around the city, the hotel is modern with a nice and cozy decoration.
The lounge area is nice to work or to rest.
Furthermore the staff is helpful, specially Jaume who has been great and has assist us since our arrival :)
There is only one thing I will improve, the firmness of the bed.
This hotel is nice and is in a great area however we found it did not live up to our expectations. Unfortunately, the issues started almost immediately as our room was next to what seemed to be a staff room. We could hear their conversations and loud chatter quite clearly in the room and my husband went outside to them a couple of times to indicate our annoyance. The main problem for us was the actual furnishing of the room. The definition of ergonomic is the design for ease of use and comfort- to minimise discomfort. This did not apply to our hipster room. We had a deluxe double room - the bed was comfortable but we kept knocking our shins on the protruding trendy bit at the end. You forget it is there when you are walking around the bed especially at night in the dark when it is an unfamiliar room. My wife had numerous bruises on her shin from it and I fell over it at least once. The protruding trendy bit over the top of the bed was also a hazard. When we reached down to get something off the bedside area, many a time we hit our head on this. I felt we were staying in a health and safety nightmare. The wobbly sliding glass shower frame was also concerning, especially since it did not give you much room to get in and out with the toilet so close to it. There was also an issue with the power. We went out for the day and returned that evening to no power in the room. We can only assume that possibly the cleaning staff had tripped a switch while they were there. Fixing it involved having the maintainence guy take the ceiling panels off and find the problem. We stayed in at least 8 hotels on this holiday and this hotel would be on the bottom of our list for value for money. It was quite expensive and we are still trying to work out exactly what we have been charged for. I would not stay here again. It is just too "boutique" but if that is your thing, just remember to wear shin protectors if you get one of those deluxe rooms.
The Hotel was amazing - I had a wonderful room with terrace on which I could take a sunbath. On the first floor they serve breakfast with the best cheese and ham in Spain as well as fresh orange juice and wonderful bread of different sorts. The hotel is directly located at Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona from where you can go easy everywhere. I was also impressed by the nice hotel service. In case it is rainy you will get an umbrella and if you had a stressful day at the fair they will give you some bath salt and sparkling wine to relax in the evening.
I can totally recommend this hotel! Best choice ever.
Well placed at a good location, extremely motivated and welcoming employees, clean and good sized room, nice breakfast, what i only missed is a Gym.
There can be more plug points in the room, but for that, its a very well managed hotel.
