How to Get There
Me and my partner spent 3 days at Grums Hotel and all I can say is that it was ok... I was disappointed that I was not given the room that I booked. We booked the room with terrace, bath, bathrobe, slipper and we got none of that. We've been located in a triple room which we didn't need an extra bed. Unfortunately, this wasn't sorted.
If you wish to use the SPA you need to pay 15 euro, which ended up being enjoyable (max 75 min).
Mattress was confortable, we slept good, but I was lucky to bring my ear plugs cuz we could hear the people next door and cleaners early in the morning.
Although the whole experience was good, I wouldn't come back to this hotel.
The hotel is close to everything. We were here a day before our cruise and were able to sight see Rambla and the Mercado on foot and then walk to the shuttle stop to get to the ship the next day. The staff is very kind and allowed us to check in early since our flight came in before the check in time and they held our bags after check out for a while so that we could get in some last minute shopping. We will be back.
We came away for a long weekend to celebrate my 40th, myself my husband and 12 year old son, a fantastic little hotel with excellent staff and food, just such a shame that it is set in the area that it is - major homeless problem in the area, didn't really bother me as I work with the homeless at home but having to dodge used needles in the street of a morning whilst nipping out for breakfast was a shame!!
My son was sick on night one and the staff were fantastic- I had cleaned the majority up (with a bath towel 😩) but as soon as I told reception in the morning housekeeping came straight to us (thank you for that, hope my badly translated note made you smile). We would recommend this hotel 😃
Forth time to Barcelona and the third during the Christmas holidays. I have got to say that of all the locations Hotel Grums has got to be the best placed. 5 minute walk from Las Ramblas and a Lidl supermarket around the corner. Room was comfortable, clean with modern décor and we had a great terrace. Staff were excellent and helpful. Hotel Spa is small and I do think that for guests it should be free as at 15 euro each to use the pool we thought it was a bit much.
Would definitely recommend the hotel and we would use again without hesitation.
Just returned from our 4th trip to Barcelona. Very impressed with the hotel, we stayed in 601 and we had a great terrace which would be fabulous during summer months. The hotel is ideally positioned as it’s a short walk from La Rambla and the port.
I would definitely stay here again and although I loved our room, It was next to the lifts and you could hear them all the time which was quite annoying. I did also think hotel guests could use the spa facilities for free. Thanks for a great stay though.
