Beautiful Barcelona gives you the best of both worlds. On the one hand, it’s the ultimate European city escape, a thriving cosmopolitan hub of cultural sights, spectacular architecture and fresh food stalls. On the other, it’s also a dazzling seaside getaway, with a balmy climate, sandy beach and permanent feel-good vibe.
Located in the Villa Olímpica neighborhood, H10 Marina Barcelona boasts spectacular views over the bustling city and the Mediterranean beyond. Just a stone’s throw from the crowds and intoxicating sights of the city center, the hotel is a haven of peace and quiet.
After a busy day of savoring tapas, sipping sangria and exploring the city’s eclectic architecture – with imposing gothic cathedrals at one turn and Gaudi’s masterpieces at the next – you’ll be able to switch off in the Despacio spa with a lap in the heated pool, a session in the sauna or a relaxing beauty treatment.
Good to know
Please note that a tourist tax of €1.21 per person (aged 16 or over), per day is payable at the hotel.
The rooftop pool and Skyline bar are closed during the colder months.
Standard Double rooms are bright and spacious, with a modern décor and an en-suite bathroom.
You’ll be able to kick-start a busy day of sightseeing with a buffet breakfast of fresh, seasonal fruit, baked pastries, cereal and hot food. If the city center’s intimate tapas bars don’t draw you in, you’ll be able to recharge with Mediterranean à la carte dishes and exquisite wines in Dionissos Restaurant. For light refreshments, the La Llum Bar in the lobby and the eighth-floor Skyline Terrace are the ideal spots for an evening tipple over city views.
The Despacio Spa Center has it all: a heated pool with Niagara jets, a warm-water pool, a cold-water pool with pebbles, plus a Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, ice fountain, heated loungers and a gym. You’ll also be able to treat yourself to a range of beauty and body treatments.
Staying just steps from Bogatell metro station (L4) Marina metro station (L1), you’re within easy reach of Barcelona’s main attractions. Spend your time taking in the stunning Sagrada Familia and wandering the narrow streets of the Barri Gothic, or browse the high-end shops and famous homes of the Paseo de Gracia. Alternatively, head to the gorgeous beach, stroll along the Marina Promenade, take in the bustling atmosphere of La Rambla or take a cable car up to up to Montjuic for fantastic city views and the mesmerizing light-fountain show.
How to Get There
Unfortunately due to a Ryan Air fault, the journey to Barcelona was severely delayed by 5hrs . Arriving at 1230am we took the chance for a cold beer in the ground floor bar. The room on 7th floor was fine. There had been a repair to the vanity unit in the bathroom but quite perfect otherwise. The staff are entirely friendly from reception to breakfast to roof top pool bar..even the passing maintenance men always say 'hola'. Yes the location is in the middle of residential area but this didn't really become any problem. We walked to the marina on both evenings remaining for supper and on both occasions we found ok food. I was a tad disappointed that the area was slightly 'kiss me quick' style area with fast food, Arabic Hubble bubble pipe bars and not particularly good food. Maybe our error that we didn't find any small indigenous Spanish restaurants sadly. We found it surprising that around the marina, the restaurants promoted indoor eating and didn't make the best of the outside areas at all. Overall Barcelona city is beautiful and viewed to its best by tour bus. €30 each per day €50 each for two day tickets. The hotel is smart and the pool area bijou but spotlessly clean. Very happy to be members of the H10 club.
We love to cruise but also love Barcelona so for me this is a no lose situation.
The H10 Marina is our first choice of hotel pre cruise for a couple of nights.
We arrived very late on the 28th June due to a four and a half hour delay out of Manchester. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady who was most sympathetic and checked us in very quickly.
The hotel has had a refurb since our stay last year and this has been excellently done.
Breakfast was excellent as usual and we received first class service from the restaurant, bar and reception teams.
Thank you for another enjoyable albeit short stay.
See you next year.
The location is great if you wanna spend time at the beach. I liked this place because you spend most of your time in the city center and doing all the touristy stuff in teh district, but at the end of the day, you start wishing you were away from all the regular touristy crowed, and this hotel did just that
It’s a decent hotel with good bed and clean rooms. It’s definitely not in marina, it’s around 10 mins walk or more depending on pace. There is problem of plumbing or HVac can’t figure out , always water flowing sound in room 720 and I checked with colleagues in other room , same issue. There were mugging issues outside hotel, but it’s Barcelona .. can’t complain as hotel issue... I loved the stay. If you have option can find other hotels as well
When I arrived to the hotel I thought it was a bit out of the way but was able to walk to the beach in about 5 min or so. The hotel is not on a marina but in a residential area. This works as you end up with a quality hotel at a reasonable price which is central enough to see the city. Great breakfast. I got upgraded from a standard double to a junior suite so cannot comment too much on rooms other than saying mine was great.
