How to Get There
The hotel delivered as expected and the staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and nice, albeit a bit dark.
A bit away from many of the main attractions but still within reach. One negative on my end was that the bed was very firm. My son aged 12 slept well, but I did not sleep very well. It may be that it’s me and not the bed that was the problem.
Great staff, spacious room, a lovely hotel. The location was good with easy access to more central areas. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good. The staff are the star of the show, friendly, helpful and always available.
Stayed here in March for a weekend break. Very stylish hotel, very friendly staff. The hotel is situated in a residential area and a short walk to shops and bus routes including the busturistc hop on hop off city tour. The hotel was fresh and clean and had a lovely smell that came from a room attomizer or something. Emailed to ask if I could have an earlier check in as our flight in was an early one which the hotel was able to provide which was great. Simple buffet breakfast with the option of a hot breakfast as well poached eggs that sort of thing which for 11 euros was pretty good value. There is a sister hotel across the street which I tried to check into first but was told that my reservation is in the other hotel. The hotel is quite far out from main sightseeing so i would recommend the busturistic 2day pass available at the hotel(you get a discount) or expect a long walk. Also you get free admission to the Egypt museum from the hotel. Brush up on your Spanish as I felt terrible not being to communicate very well in the restaurants or shops nearby. All in all I would stay again as staff were very friendly helpful and welcoming.
This is the 2nd time that I have stayed here. The primary reason for staying here is the proximity to the Chabad Synagogue ( a 6 minute walk away).
I arrived and got my room ( 47) which is a lovely Duplex "apartment". The lower room has a Sofa, large TV, a small table with 2 chairs and a minibar ( fully stocked).
Upstairs, is a bedroom ( good sized double bed) TV, wardrobes, Shower, sink and toilet.
What is missing is a Kettle and Tea/Coffee making stuff. I brought my own.
It is VERY quiet, with virtually no road noise and very little noise coming from within the hotel.
The staff were excellent ( they are very helpful with anything - including being well drilled in opening doors for Orthodox Jewish customers on Shabbat!).
The Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the large L'illa Shopping center on Diagonal. There are 3 or 4 Supermarkets within about 3 minutes walk of the Hotel. There are many buses and Trams that can be accessed within a 2-3 minute walk that will take you to the center of Barcelona or to the Nou Camp...or anywhere else.
Overall, it was a great place and I would seriously consider staying here again next time I am in Barcelona.
We traveled with friends and booked two duplex rooms for our week long stay in Barcelona. Everything was top-notch and the excellent hospitality began prior to our arrival.
The hotel is well positioned in Barcelona and the neighborhood is wonderful. We had a couple of special meals at Quilez, a few steps from the hotel.
The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I appreciated the white linens and the over-sized bath towels. The duplex rooms are unique especially if you're looking for accommodations that veer away from a traditional hotel room. With our extended stay, I was looking for a room with more space and the duplex floor-plan was perfect. The ground floor includes living/eating area and upstairs is the the bedroom and bathroom with televisions on both levels. The duplex rooms are a little dark and do not have a view, but the smart floor-plan more than made up for the aforementioned.
I would like to thank Juan for all his help and professionalism and Raul was a delight, he helped me with my Spanish. During our trip, there was a taxi strike. The team at the hotel informed us well in advance of our departure and we were able to make arrangements to get our group to the airport without any issues.
I highly recommend this hotel and if we travel back to Barcelona, this would be our hotel of choice.
