Thoughtful Hotel - caring staff.

We spent a few days at this hotel, in September, the staff were wonderful, with good suggestions. Serena, on the desk juggled a couple of translation phone calls that really helped us with tours. The place is not large, but warm and unassuming. A free wine and tapas time. Great selections for a buffet breakfast. A pool area that gives one a change of pace in the middle of the city. We requested a room that fronted onto the main street with a petite balcony. It was lovely. And pretty noise free with good insulation. The hotel is located in what the Amex Guide had told us was the Rodeo Drive of Barcelona. And yes there were some pricey familiar stores around. But we could access all our tour starts on foot from the hotel. There were great outdoor and indoor restaurant choices, really close too.

What a great 3 night stay we had. Very central location. We walked to La Sagrada Familia, bus tours were less than 5 minute walk away, waking distance to La Ramblas. an unexpected surprise was la merge festival which was happening throughout our stay and added to our lovely trip.
Staff were so very helpful and polite, pool area was very peaceful despite it being overlooked by huge cranes as there is some building for going nearby.

We had a terrace room, large comfortable beds and everything you would need has been thought of. We would stay here again and will definitely recommend to our friends. There was also safe secure parking which was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel, when we arrived we took the last parking space as it is quite a small car park.

My only suggestion would be for the hotel to allow you to book and pay for parking in advance as if there was no spaces our holiday would have felt ruined as we had been on a road trip throughout Spain and France and finding another car park and carrying all of our stuff into the room would have been nothing short of a nightmare.

We opted out of breakfast in the hotel as wanted to explore all the different places to eat and drink around Barcelona.

Pet friendly indeed!

The staff are amongst the friendliest I've ever encountered, when we arrived they had a bed and trays already set for our pet. Breakfast is awesome and they were even kind enough to guide me into their parking (which is not small) but I was driving a big van.

What else to say? It is right in the middle of Barcelona, everything is within walking distance or just a couple of stops using Barcelona's underground system. The bed is really comfortable, TV has plenty of choices and, contrary to standard, a lot of English language channels.

The hotel itself is beautiful, well kept, very clean and rooms are nice and quiet. I would certainly recommend a Gran Via view room, just to see the wonders of Barcelona and its people passing by.
