How to Get There
I love this hotel. The transfer is quick, the welcome is warm, the rooms are clean and spacious. Lovely swimming pools, glorious beach, great food and service. What is there not to like? This was my third visit and will certainly not be my last!
The hotel had a fabulous location, was well set out with spacious rooms. Plenty to do and see. Food was delicious. Lots of different areas and spaces so you could get what you wanted from your holiday.
It was the last week of the season and Hotel Pestana were about to shut up shop, the weather was changeable and the island was deserted - but everything else was just as we ordered it.
We travelled as a family, Grandparent, parents and child.
The hotel was recommended to us and it transpires that it is one of those well kept secrets that many know about... The grounds are stunning, very well designed complex which offers everything for everyone - ranging from spa facilities, to fantastic pool facilities, games rooms, library, teenage space, beach and of course the on-site entertainment team (Team Chapito).
The rooms are clean and spacious. The food was great.
The staff are second to none, especially on the Entertainment team who really go out of their way to engage with EVERYONE, not just the children. They work so hard every day with endless smiles.
I actually couldn't fault our experience at this hotel... We would definitely go back.
Thank you for a wonderful stay and the chance to make brilliant memories so easily.
After reading other people's reviews ,I went with an open mind. People moaning over place mats . Remember this is not Dubai so it's worthy of Porto Santo 5 star . I was there with my wife and daughter. It was the hotels final week before closing so yes the place mats were tarnished but I wouldn't expect brand new ones after a long season usage. From checking in to the farewells the service from the staff was first class. The room was beyond my expectations, very spacious and modern. Free mini bar, free safe, 2 tv's ,plenty of storage and cleaned daily . Overall the hotel was spotless and the grounds were impeccable and we'll maintained. The pool areas were spacious and plenty of beds also plenty of beds on grassed areas as well as private sandy areas near the beach. The beach was within touching distance of the hotel and was amazing . I've been lucky in life and travelled a lot and this beach will take some beating. The only downside is the hotel charge a small fortune to hire beds on the beach but provide free wind breakers and parasols . The food was plentiful with varied choices but if your looking for English cuisine remember this is Portugal. Sea foods paradise. Plenty of meat options also. Fresh omelette cooked to order at breakfast times. Fresh fruit , eggs bacon and sausage. Ect. The entrainment was provided by the animation team who worked tiresly hard. The alcoholic drinks were plentiful with choices and packed a punch. Even self service beer pumps. My negatives were my room no 313 was near reception and was facing one of the locals homes who had 2 dogs which continually barked and also noise from a local bar . Which was not the hotels fault . They did offer to move me but id already unpacked and settled and was there only a week . My opinion is based on wot i paid for this holiday and could moan over trivial issues, like the outside food bar could be covered up to deter the birds from the bread and salads . Remember this was end of season but service didn't faulter but maybe peak season more staff maybe required . It was busy but not very busy and I could imagine ques forming for omletts and at the burger bars and drink bars . Overall a great holiday a beautiful tiny island . Would definitely go again . But if your looking for a Benidorm holiday look elsewhere, but if your looking for a little bit of paradise to relax and eat drink and be merry ,you won't be disappointed.
Tiny island with amazing stretch of golden sandy beach, hotel right on the beach, easy access via board walk. Super spacious rooms, well equipped, stylish, our room was ocean facing, you could lie in bed and hear the waves rolling in!
Beautiful pools meandering between villas in stunning gardens, plenty of options for sun loungers! Indoor spool and spa, superb, great menthol steam room. Staff very attentive. Choice of 3 out of 4 theme restaurants for evening meals was lovely, we particularly loved the Mediterramean and the Japanese. Good choices for eating at poolside or large buffet restaurant. Being very picky, the only negative is that the main restaurant wasn't of 5 star standard, however, always huge choice available, I found the chef's grill area offered the best options, favourites being grilled fish.
We enjoyed walking the length of the beach and into the town, as well as some mountain walks.
Although we were there as a couple, the entertainments team were very enthusiastic ( but not pushy) and seemed to offer activities giving children a fabulous time.
If you want some time relaxing in beautiful surroundings, being pampered with the all inclusive experience, I can highly recommend this!
