How to Get There
Our family of four (2 teens) had one day left on our trip and we chose to spend it relaxing at the Radisson. The kids were thrilled we had a huge suite on the 9th floor with ocean views! My husband and I chose to relax under umbrellas by the infinity pool with lovely views towards the Caribbean, cool drinks in hand! Decent food and drink at the restaurant giving us one last chance at the wonderful ceviche, coconut lemonade and other delicious drinks.
This hotel experience was one of the worst.
Checkin: I booked the hotel but due to the fact I couldn’t speak Spanish I was basically ignored and instead the guy continued to speak in Spanish to my partner. He had me signing all kinds of paperwork and it was clear I was confused but he didn’t seem to care nor explain what kind of paper I was singing.
Staff: get all new staff they are discriminatory!!! they clearly hate gay people. My partner and I were stared at like some circus animals by almost all employees. Some of them wouldn’t even speak with us! It’s 2019 train people to be respectful!
Food: over priced for mediocre food
Free breakfast: limited no offers of bacon or any sort of cooked meats
Drinks: extremely expensive, over iced, and disgusting
Beach: dog poop and trash are all over the place.
Locals on the beach: Be prepared to get harassed. One after another after another. They will literally follow you around and not leave you alone.
A woman named Isabella approached us to do braids and we agreed.
A man named angreis brought over some chairs for us to sit for the braids.
She could not braid hair at all and when we got up to leave the man said we owed him money as well for the chairs. Absolutely annoying to be harassed out there. Hotel should have staff out there protecting their guests from this annoyance.
Location: Terrible! There is no where to eat! Hotel does not help you! Over 5 miles from city center. Hotel does not offer shuttles back and forth.
Safety: once checked in we were issued 2 room keys and escorted to our room. Once in the elevator the man asked for my room key to press the correct floor option associated with the key. I gave it to him and he returned it right away. Once we got to the room the man asked for it again to open the door. The room requires a key to activate lights and air conditioner. He was showing my partner how to work it she tipped him and he left. I asked where the room key was and she did not have it. I can only assume the man walked out with it. We immediately called the front desk and said one key was missing and we needed another. I went to the rest room and my partner was changing clothes. There was a knock on the door...I said 1 min...luckily I had latched the door! the man attempted to enter my room without any permission!!! Two additional times during our three day stay we noticed the bedroom door had been opened after we had locked it and left the room with the do not disturb sign up. The last night we heard a noise and I assumed it was another room opening and closing their doors but when I got up a short time later I noticed my latch was extended straight out instead of flush against the door. That only happens when someone from the outside attempts to enter the room when the door is latched. This had us feeling extremely unsafe the entire trip!
Keep your good work and Congratulations for your quality training of the hotel personnel and the food. Also the location is great not too far from the historical sites and the beach. The cost line is also very pleasant.
This hotel was probably one of my least favorites of hotels I’ve state in. The pool is extremely small so if you’re traveling in a large party, not a good hotel to select. The breakfast is very basic and no variety from day to day. The hotel looks very beautiful but the rooms are small. Then housekeeping wasn’t the best. Took forever to get additional towels and they would “clean” the room but leave empty glasses, not empty the ice bucket, or not replace the amount of dirty towels left. I’m coming back to Colombia but this isn’t where I’ll be staying!
The staff however are very nice and helpful
Great location, service, food and ambience! Their staff is always smiling and ready to serve! Would like to go back! Comfortable beds and bathroom. Beautiful sunset views at their Solarium in the 10th floor.
