How to Get There
This place is a true gem! I wanted a place that was the perfect romantic getaway and Stonefield Villas was the perfect choice. When we travel we love to be immersed in the culture, to learn about the area, to eat the food of the culture and to stay in a place that makes you feel like it’s a second home. Stonefield Villas hit on all 3 points. The Villas make you feel like you’re in your own place as it was very secluded and private. It was just what we needed for our anniversary to refuel our romance and to be reminded of why we fell in love with each other. There were several honeymooners that we met so love was everywhere! The staff was great at Stonefield very helpful and they were always happy to answer my call (from the cell they gave me) and help me with reservations, rides, shuttles and spa appointments. Everyone is always happy at this place! This was not my experience at Anse Chastanet/Jade Mountain, the staff there was rude and the place was too busy and fast paced for me while on the island. We did the Spa twice while we were at Stonefield. We did the couples massages and the couples Meli' Melange, both were awesome and I would recommend. The villa was the best part we stayed at The Frangipani and didn't leave the entire first and last day because the villa and pool were so beautiful! We did 2 trips to the beach (Sugar Beach and Anse Chastanet) Sugar Beach was my Fav! Thanks for a great stay Stonefield Villas!! I will return....someday.
We stayed at Stonefield for 2 nights just for a little r&r, I can tell you we were not disappointed. We were greeted at the security gate by a smiling guard who checked our booking , called ahead to reception and then let us in. We were then greeted at the reception with a refreshing towel and fruit punch. After checking in, we were then taken to our villa, what an amazing place! The view was spectacular, overlooking the caribbean sea, with Petit Piton just to the left of us. A private pool and an outdoor shower made this villa all that more special. I would certainly recommend StoneField estate to anyone! The restaurant, just a short walk from the villa, also had views of the caribbean and petit piton, the food was suberb and the service quick and courteous. We can't wait to go back there!
Wow, from the people to the food at the Mango Tree, this place did not disappoint. A great bang for your buck and the views are UNBEATABLE. My husband and I stayed in the Oleander room and had a breathtaking view of the Pitit Piton. We utilized the spa for an amazing massage and pedicures and the food and people were amazing. Great service and the room was the perfect size.
My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary at a very special place. At the advice of our travel agent, we selected The Stonefield Villa Resort. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Shellisa O'Neal who was very warm and friendly. After quickly checking us in, she left the reception area and returned with two tropical drinks. The drinks were delicious, refreshing and a welcomed treat. She walked us to our villa which was a short distance. The luggage would be brought later to our villa by the resort staff. The grounds at the resort were impeccable, amassed with tall trees and beautiful flagrant flowers. The name of our villa was the Oleander. As Shellisa opened the door, my husband and I were completely awed by the view. Facing our villa from the porch was the Petit Piton. This was a jaw-dropping unbelievable moment. The Piton was anything but petite. To have this huge, gorgeous, majestic mountain facing you is quite phenomenal! There was also a great view of the Caribbean Sea. We toured our villa, once we came down a bit from our shock and awe of the outside view. The porch had a hammock that fit two people along with a patio dining table that seated four. The villa had a private plunge pool which lit up to a crimson color at night. Near the pool were two deck chairs on the porch beside the villa. There was a small private courtyard with a mango tree. The villa was surrounded by more splendid vibrant colored flowers which were visited by hummingbirds and a variety of other birds during our stay. Inside the villa was a huge living room which had an entrance to the front porch facing the Petit Piton, and an entrance to the side porch near the pool. There were huge windows which allowed plenty of natural sunlight to come through. There are ceiling fans in the living and bedroom areas along with A/C in the bedroom. Screens are strategically placed on the windows and doors to let in the fresh breeze from the Caribbean. There is no T.V., but there is free WiFi if you can't unplug from the outside world. There is a full size kitchen that is adequately equipped with everything you need should you decide to cook. The bedroom has a comfortable king size bed. Our bed was decorated with flowers. Matching guests robes were neatly laid out on the bed. The bathroom was a nice size which was also decorated with flowers. There is an amazing outdoor shower with high walls, flowering trees, and a view of the top of Piton. There is also a flower bed inside the shower. During one of my evening showers, a hummingbird flew from flower to flower sipping on the nectar. If I had booked this place through Booking.com, then I would have said "Booking.com, Booking.YEAH!". But I didn't, so kudos go to my travel agent. The Oleander Villa is very close to the Mango Tree Restaurant. Note that the grounds at this resort and Soufriere are very hilly. If you can't walk a long distance, then this villa may be just right for you. If you can't get a villa close to the restaurant, then no worries. The resort will give you a complimentary cell phone during your stay. You can use their free resort taxi service for drives to the restaurant. You can also use the phone for food delivery to your villa and other services. Also, note that most nights have entertainment from 7pm - 9pm. Since our villa was close to the restaurant, we enjoyed listening to the music from our villa. If you want complete silence, then ask for a villa that is not close to the restaurant. The Mango Tree Restaurant had some very delicious dishes. On my first night there, I had a fried Mahi-Mahi Coconut Curry soup served with vegetables and couscous. It was delectable! Ancia was of one of our waitresses. She has the most pleasant voice with a lovely personality to match. I loved hearing her say good evening. She is an asset to Stonefield Villa. In fact, we found that all of the wait staff was professional and courteous. The menu does change daily at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is included with your stay. The resort does offer an all-inclusive package. We decided not to purchase the all-inclusive because we knew that we would have some meals outside of the resort during our day planned excursions. Breakfast consisted of the option of one of two main choices, one side choice, coffee/juice/milk or tea, fresh fruit, and an assortment of breads along with homemade jams. (Stonefield Villa grows fruit and vegetables directly on their property.) The only suggestion I have regarding breakfast is that guests should have the option of three choices, and that eggs should be a side option unless it is an omelette. The views from the restaurant are also breathtaking. One evening during our stay was a Happy Hour for the guests with complimentary Rum Punch and Hors d'oeuvres. While sipping our drinks, we watched the sun set on the Caribbean Sea. It was stunning! There are also great views of the sea and the Petite Piton from the restaurant. One of the things that I loved about the Stonefield Villa Resort is that it's small and quaint and not huge like some of the other resorts on the island. Eating at the restaurant whether it was breakfast or dinner provided an intimate and relaxing experience even though you were surrounded by other people. Sitting on the porch of your villa early in the morning or late in the evening to partake in the breeze and watch the clouds skate across the top of the Piton had a soothing and calming affect. It’s enchanting and mesmerizing. It was akin to having a conversation with God. Entering the Stonefield Villa Resort is what I would imaging entering the Garden of Eden is like. For that alone, I highly recommend this place if you're looking to vacation in Soufriere.
The resort is off a beaten path. Once you get there you are greeted by the guy at the gate, or really you are stopped and questioned by him. He then confirms your stay and let's you in. The receptionist when we arrived was very nice and we where given a fresh juice and cold towel. Both very refreshing.
We stayed in the one bedroom hillside Ocean view room. The views from the room are nothing less than SPECTACULAR. The room is nice and the bedroom has AC which is perfect. The room was a good size and the shower was AMAZING. Our fire alarm in our room did go off at 4 am on our first night and the following day someone came to replace it however I was expecting something fro the resort bc it was a huge inconvenience and honestly put a bad twist on the stay.
I have so,e sections broken out regarding different aspects of our stay and why I only rated this a 3.
absolutely amazing and it will take your breath away. The grounds themselves is alright nothing really stuck out to me and I would say the grounds are just average.
HILLSIDE OCEAN VIEW VILLA
Beautiful views, great space, and private. A.C. I the bedroom only and the shower is too die for. Cons: needs some TLC and upkeep, shower heads were disgustingly gross, and our fire alarm went off at 4 am for NO REASON.
THE MANGO TREE RESTAURANT
Breakfast: good options but it took us 2 hours to get eggs! 2 hours! And 30 ,minutes for a vodka cranberry! Bit ridiculous for the price you pay and there were 10 other people there total so it's not like it was busy.
Lunch: okay food but pricey and service was not good.
Dinner: EXPENSIVE and small portions. Customer service was horrible except for one bartender Quinn who was great.
We got a couples massage and it was the best ,massage I have ever received. Highly recommend and the spa ladies are so nice and friendly.
.. more like what customer service... Honestly, for how much we pay a night to stay here the staff was rude and I felt like I was an inconvenience for the staff. I did not feel welcome or safe for that matter. When we would ask someone how they like working there everything was negative. Check out is at 12.... We had the cleaning people outside of our room waiting to come in at 11:30! Check out is 12!!! Why are you pushing me out when I spent almost 500 a night to stay there and I don't need to check out for another 30 minutes.
Receptionist when we left didn't even look at us folks.... handed us the paper to sign for what we spent and the no asked for a water a d they wouldn't give me one. I had to go buy one fro the boutique which had no water and no one in there working.
Villa is beautiful only bc of the view. Grounds are okay nothing great. SPA is amazing. MANGO TREE horrible service, pricey and small portions. WORST custom re service I have ever experienced while traveling.
Would I recommend to someone else:
NO! SAVE YOUR Money and go somewhere else that gives you both the beautiful views and good service.
