How to Get There
Lovely beach, helpful staff, 3 restaurants with very good food-1 buffet, 2 reservations required. Seafood restaurant on a pier. Pretty grounds, with 3 pools. All inclusive. Negative-free wifi only in reception/lobby area. A high end resort should not charge for room wifi.
Just returned. Solid 4*.
Front desk staff is really poor. Always seemed annoyed you're there. Borderline rude. Manager was no better. We wanted to try and upgrade to a suite. Their answer was "you know it costs more money". I said no problems I plan to pay the difference... and she actually "huffed" then said the whole resort was full... so needless to say poor first impression checking in.
Now the good parts.
Food is 5star.
Restaurant and bar staff are great. They really do a great job. Happy.. attentive.. richie at the pier restaurant really was a standout and we went out of way to go back and tip him well.
Resort needs cosmetic make over and would be 4.5 star or 5.. entire place needs a fresh coat of paint.. and the grout in the tiles need patching. Lots of cosmetic stuff.. nothing huge.. just a face lift.
Water activities and sports are good. Music at night was good.
I would go back
The island was beautiful but very hilly. Our room was a great view of the ocean & sunsets but on a very steep hill.We had to use golf cart services alot because i could,nt walk down to beach or resturants due to surgery.Elford & Rinous & Bradley was the best golf cart guys. The staff was excellent. The activitys at the pool was lets just say there was none. They did'nt even play music. That was a big disappointment because thats where we stayed because the water at the beach was muddy.Teresa and Vanessa was the best pool bartenders. Jayden was an awesome pool and beach waiter.Valerie was a great lady that helped with making reservations to resturants.Which at 2 of them you had to pay more at even tho it was an all inclusive resort. I paid 55.00 for a lobster that was uncooked.Make sure to take cash with you because if you go on an icursion and their credit card machine does,nt work and you have no cash you are out of luck on going. Beautiful island but will probably not go back.to St.James club. Also it is an hour and a half ride from the airport to the resort.
