A quiet and relaxing break

This hotel is in stark contrast to the frantic, noisy and crowded Sandals holidays which we normally go to.It is very quiet and relaxing with plentiful sun loungers available throughout the day. The rooms are spacious, well furnished and kept very clean. The grounds, pool area and gardens immaculate. Waiter service is available all day both by the pools and on the beaches. Drinks and fresh fruit and ice lollies are brought to your sun bed. There are plenty of activities for the more adventurous. The champagne bar every evening is a wonderful addition and a great place to socialise.
Slight criticism is that the food is a bit repetitive and is a bit slow to be replenished in the Terrace restaurant buffet particularly at lunchtime. It is however the staff that make this hotel so special . They are all very friendly, helpful and humorous. We will definitely return.

Just returned from our break at the rendezvous.
Again the perfect holiday for us, quiet and away from the main stream hotels and bars. small in size but large in stature, most holiday makers around our age group ( late 40s ) and looking for the relaxing break so everyone talks to one another, All of the staff are extremely attentive and friendly many couples are returning holiday makers some have returned there for 19 years plus, a great testament for how they feel looked after and valued.
This is a place where you can learn to scuba dive should the passion take you, with Luigi, Judy, Lincoln and curtis so lovely, overly helpful and attentive to get you through your Padi qualifications if you so desire.
The guys behind the bar refuse to let your glass be empty for long patrolling the tables ensuring your glass is recharged, There are 3 restaurants, the main terrace rotates its menu on a weekly basis, Tryst restaurant is based upon A La Carte and the Malbar is more Urban food, the latter 2 are extremely popular and booking is necessary. Food quality in all 3 restaurants is very moorish and of good quality, again the staff have to be commended for their attentive service as nothing is a problem to them.
Joe and Jordan work tirelessly to ensure the evenings entertainment is enjoyed by all, hats off to them for their dedication.
Sean in the champagne bar is a legend with Gilbert on the piano, a brilliant start to any evening.
If your looking for a overly noisy, boisterous, banging hotel this is not for you.
Needless to say we really enjoyed our time there and will more than likely return as soon as possible.

A return visit for us

We returned for a second visit in Dec 2018, so this review is a bit late! Well a year late! My wife and I never return to the same place twice until returning here. we needed a relaxing holiday to chill and recharge the batteries.

As most people have mentioned it is the staff that make this place special. They are friendly and welcoming.

In my haste to pack I left my iPod behind on the bed, and only realised on the flight home. I assumed there was no way I would see it again, but the honesty and integrity of the staff came to the fore. The housekeeping team had found it and handed it in. It was then sent from St.Lucia to the UK. This is amazing in this day and age. I cannot thank the staff involved enough.

Yes the hotel is close to small local airport, but only light aircraft use it and so the noise/disruption is minimal.

Yes the hotel is quite close to a cemetery, but it didn't detract from our stay.

My wife and I used the gym a number of times and found it to be well equipped. If I was being picky a squat rack or smith machine would be useful, but not essential. We also participated in some of the activities such as Yoga/Pilates in the studio, which had nice view of the ocean. The instructors were knowledgeable and interested.

I ran with the instructor (rugby player) on a number of the morning/evening jogs from the hotel. These were good fun.

My wife and I both scuba dive and did a number of the complimentary dives. All the staff in the dive centre were friendly and engaging. It is a shame that there is a charge for the marine park dives now. (I don't think there was last time, but might be wrong).

On the food side of things breakfast/lunch were all good buffet style affairs with plenty of choice. We ate in the main restaurant and Malabar mostly. We would agree on the wine in terms of opening a new bottle each time, really no need if we only want a glass each. The wine sommelier was a nice touch and knowledgeable and it was interesting hearing about his studies.

The only downside was the evening meal in the main restaurant. With only 3/4 choices on each course, sometimes I did struggle to choose something, but not big issue. I also eat a lot and so the portion sizes were a little small for me and so generally went for soup and lots of bread to start with. This is just my appetite.

Overall great hotel with amazing staff.
