A little piece of paradise

From the moment you arrive the friendly, courteous and helpful staff make sure your stay here is remembered for all of the right reasons.
A very smooth operation overseen by a dedicated and caring General Manager her ethos is delivered by her outstanding team. Welcome punch overlooking the beac followed by a brief familiarisation. An invitation to a guided tour the next morning is worth attending as The Rondezvous has so much to offer. Three bars and three restaurants ensure a variety of different tastes, cuisines and atmosphere. With plenty of beach space and an abundance of sun beds there is no need to grab one early, clearly some do but we never found it a problem whatever the time of day. Two pools and the Lazy River also add to the places to relax without sand between the toes. Water sports are in abundance so there are plenty of opportunities for novice and experienced participants.
All in all it is difficult to see how this Resort could be improved even the guests seemed to embrace the ethos and enjoyed their time there even more, I suspect.
Thank you to everyone a break which we will remember for a very long time , for all of the right reasons.

This is a fabulous resort on a beautiful beach. The facility is well maintained and all the staff are amazing. If you find you need anything then one word to a staff member brings almost instant results. This was our second time here and the resort was even better this go around with the addition of the malabar restaurant on the beach.

November 2018 Return Visit
Reviewed 4 days ago

We returned last week from our 6th visit over an 11 year period to the Rendezvous thinking this may be our last but feel that we may again return sometime in the future. We have travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean and Indian Ocean yet the Rendezvous maintains a constant draw due mainly to the following:-
STAFF all levels are extremely friendly and provide a good interaction which makes the holiday special. Particular mention to Angie who always looks after us on the Terrace, Matilda with her 'monster' sense of humour,Trista for the hot cappuchino, Carmen mainly in Trysting, Lou in the Malibar, Veronica for egg dishes, Francis, Gilford and Sean who we only saw once and who we hope is now recovered.
ROOM the renovated Vreandah Suites are really lovely.
FOOD overall extremely good with Trysting being our favourite, Malibar and Terrace buffet great for lunches and the Terrace a-la-carte has improved since our last visit.
We ate at the Tao Restaurant at the Body Holiday which was a lovely evening.
Thanks and Merry Xmas to all.

Theft in Resort

We had booked a 12 night holiday to stay in a beach front cottage in October 2018. We were really enjoying our stay until the fifth night. We had returned to our cottage from dinner circa 9PM to find it in complete darkness which was strange as the employees carrying out the turn down service had switched the outside porch light on on previous nights to ensure guests could easily see the locks to open the door. Indeed ours was the only cottage that had been left in darkness that night. On unlocking the door and turning the lamp on inside we immediately noticed that our wardrobe doors were wide open and it was evident that our personal items had been rifled through. We jokingly said to each other that it looked like we had been robbed. Since our valaubles were locked away in the room safe, we were not unduly concerned. The following morning I went to use my expensive eau-de-toilette and discovered the box was empty. This had been a brand new 200ml bottle that I had just started using at the start of the holiday. I immediately went to Reception with the empty box and asked to speak to the duty manager. I explained to the manager that the door was locked on our return from dinner so the theft must have been undertaken by one of their employees who had a key to access the room that night. We said that we would feel very uncomfortable and insecure remaining at the resort following the theft so we requested to be moved to their sister hotel where we have stayed on many occasions previously. This was kindly arranged by the duty manager in the absence of the general manager who was out of the country at the time. The duty manager also kindly arranged for a replacement eau-de-toilette to be sourced however they could only purchase a 125ml bottle locally. Since returning to the UK, I have been endeavouring to find out whether the perpetrators of the crime have been removed. I have been advised by the hotel that the security guard who was on duty that night had been removed but no-one else. Considering the security guard would not have had a key to access and lock our room that night, someone else within the housekeeping team must have been involved. It would appear then that the person who accessed the room that night is still employed within the resort which makes me feel very uncomfortable and should serve as a warning to others.

We returned for the second time and will go back

A great hotel and exceptional staff who really welcome you and go the extra mile- always smiling! The choice of food whether at the buffet style breakfast ,the fresh fish of the day at the Malabar for lunch or a slightly more formal dinner in the Trysting Place are exceptional - maybe not for the waistline! All washed down with a cocktail or glass of wine or two and then you have the choice of a pre-dinner drink in the Champagne bar - easy decisions to be made each day.
And the for the activities - Pilates ,Aqua Aerobics and Stretch where we are all motivated by the wonderful Pauline; skiing ,donuts and wake-boarding supported by Chris and the team;excellent tennis coaching and if you still have any energy a social game of volleyball (which does become a little competitive!)
The rooms are excellent and very clean and the gardens are beautiful.
But what makes it special are the staff who get to know you and really want you to have a great time - many thanks and see you soon
