Romantic Ocean Setting

As soon as you walk down to the waterside location the setting captures you! The waves gently lap at the pink sand as the sun slowly sets. You can dine on the terrace or directly on the beach with your toes in the sand.

The menu has a wide variety and is inventive. We both chose the lamb and were not disappointed. We enjoyed excellent service and were allowed to linger with our wine as long as we likes. Can't beat it!

Had a wonderful week in Bermuda and stayed at the Reefs in Southampton. Absolutely fantastic hotel, great views and wonderful service. So impressed with all the staff, nothing was to much trouble and we felt at home and very relaxed. Throughly recommenced!

From the moment we arrived we were treated as though we were returning to the hotel for our 20th stay. The staff especially Tia made us feel welcome and at home. From our breakfasts to our dinners the food was great. But the staff is what makes this place a cut above. I work for a five star hotel in Toronto and would put this property in the same category. I promise they will not disappoint.

Excellent Resort-Excellent Island
Reviewed 1 month ago

My wife, daughter and I stayed here for six nights in January and I can't say enough about this resort. The people are great and they really make the experience. The ocean was a bit too cold for our liking, but folks still were swimming. The secluded cove is awesome as it feels really private. We had a cliff side room with a great view (room 345) and the daily maid service was excellent. Breakfast was included as was tea and light snacks at 4pm each day. The food was really good and the prices were moderate considering how good the food quality was. The local bus stop is literally at the entrance of their driveway (pink goes toward Hamilton, blue goes away from Hamilton. According to the locals, the humpback whales can be seen migrating in mid-April and our room would have been perfect for viewing. We also visited Hamilton, St. Georges and The Dockyards. You can buy your bus tokens from the front desk and the bus system is safe, easy to use and very friendly. One last thing: this is the friendliest island we've ever been to. I cannot stress that enough. Everyone is genuine in their approach as well. We met a gentleman named Wayne Fourbert on the flight in and he is affiliated with Bermuda's government somehow. He told us how nice the island was, and he was completely correct. A few other notes:
-Tipping-most places in Bermuda add 15-17% to the bill as a tip. With that, we generally tipped a few extra dollars.
-Bermuda dollars and US dollars are completely interchangeable.
-There is another restaurant five minute walk away. It is called Henry VIII and it's really good. They also have a pantry next door where you can guys snacks, drinks, beer, wine, etc. It's a very easy walk.
-Gibb's Hill Lighthouse is just up the hill past Henry VIII. I'd consider it a must do.
-As mentioned, breakfast was included in our package which kept some of our costs down. The food quality was great.
-Sunday is a big brunch day on the island. Everyone dresses up a bit and it's great to visit with the locals and learn about their country.

PM me with any questions as we did quite a bit. Lastly, we will definitely go back to The Reefs. If for any other reason, it would be for the people of not only the resort, but the country.

We stayed at The Reefs over New Years. What a perfect place. I can not say enough wonderful things. We were celebrating my 60th birthday and they had a lovely bottle of wine waiting in our room. Definitely book an ocean view. The sound of the waves at night was intoxicating - we slept like babies. The breakfast was exceptional- the staff so friendly - they greet you by name. We had their New Years buffet and were stunned at the selections. They had 7 carved meats and the quality was outstanding. The private beach - even in winter - was wonderful. I would stay here again.
