How to Get There
Beautiful hotel it was amazing the room so beautiful over looking the sea the beds so soft you sink into them the food was so good and the staff was so helpful I would love to stay here for two weeks and chill out
This resort was extremely well maintained. Service was very good. We stayed in room 650 in the poinciana building. This building was convenient to the beach and restaurants. I would stay here again.
This was our first trip to Bermuda, and one thing that I wasn’t expecting was how long it takes to go to different places on the island and how hard it is to get around - and expensive if you take cabs. Elbow Beach is centrally located on the island. But expensive and time consuming to get to St George. We never made it to Dockyards because of the difficulty and time to get there.
First, I would like to reiterate everything said in the previous review by Kathy G. We also had a very enjoyable time. It was our first trip to Bermuda and we stayed in room 507 for six nights in early November. The resort is nicely stepped down the hillside with lush gardens and beautiful views of the ocean from everywhere. Our room was large, nicely appointed, clean, and the king size bed was super-comfortable bed. The AC system was virtually silent. Laying on our patio lounge chairs listening to the waves and the sea breeze was both refreshing and relaxing. It was an easy walk up to the main building, where the front desk staff and concierge were extremely helpful and provided good suggestions for transportation and things to do. It was also an easy walk down to the beach and restaurants. Although a lot of the beachfront was washed away by a recent hurricane, we still enjoyed lounging on the beach chairs and walking in the powder-soft sand. Staff by the beach provided chair covers and towels and waitstaff from the restaurant showed up within minutes of flying the little red flags they provided. The resort is centrally located and transportation via bus or taxi to anywhere on the island was easy. All in all, a very enjoyable experience.
We booked a room at Elbow Beach Resort last minute. When we phoned staff at the resort, they were knowledgeable, patient and friendly. We took a taxi from the airport ($30) and were greeted warmly by staff. The hotel has a main building and many separate buildings on the grounds. We entered the lobby and found it to be beautiful! Chandeliers, sitting areas, artwork, great rooms to explore. They have a library room - pool table area - baby grand piano - and more! There is an on-sight concierge who was very helpful to us in planning our stay in Bermuda. You can buy your all-day bus pass there (recommend) which is good for bus rides and ferry rides all day. There is a bus stop right across from the resort entrance! The front desk clerk checked us in efficiently and our room was ready for us on arrival. In fact, we received a complimentary upgrade to a Jr. Suite room - which was fabulous! The room was very large and spacious - king bed, pull out sofa, large tv, tub and separate shower unit - jack/jill bathroom with double sink area. In-room safe, ironing board and iron (both really nice), robes available for use, hair dryer (nice one) nespresso machine (awesome!), small fridge and water bottles provided daily. We also had a large sliding glass door that led to a private patio with table and lawnchairs - with a great view of the ocean! The lighting was great in the room. The maid service was outstanding - everything was cleaned very well each day (thank you Shirlyn!). We had a desk area and coffee table. Outlets were easily accessible for phone charging (US type outlets - yes!). The bed was super comfortable. We didn't use the pool during our stay, but we wandered up to it - it looked to be really nice with rotating colored lights - neat! There are restaurants on grounds as well. We weren't there long enough to explore the entire area - it is large and also have a private beach - very pretty! The staff provided shuttle service around the resort, for those who may have mobility issues or just want to ride from one area to the next! They are friendly and always helpful! At the time of checkout, we didn't have to carry our bags - just called and they sent the shuttle down and they took care of everything. Checkout was easy - no surprises. We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others!
I recently stayed for two nights at the Elbow Beach Hotel in Bermuda for a work related trip. The hotel is located on a cliff overlooking the beach and the rooms or suites situated in individual blocks down the cliff. The resort requires walking up and down stairs or hills to rooms, the beach and the main lobby. The main building itself I understand does not have rooms available and has not for years as they are in need of repair. My room had a great king bed that provided for a comfortable night sleep. Additionally, the room was a suite with a desk, and couch. The bathroom included a sinking tub and stall shower and one sink. The room itself was very quiet and the HVAC worked very well. The room had a table outside as well as two lounge chairs with a view of the ocean. Housekeeping did a nice job of keeping the room clean and turn down service was provided each evening. Taxis could take you closer to your room or you could get a taxi at the lobby. We did have afternoon snacks at the one restaurant open on property, which included salads and hamburgers. The food was good and the prices typical for Bermuda. I would consider staying at the Elbow Beach on a future stay for work to Bermuda. The hotel was about 30 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes with traffic to downtown Hamilton.
