How to Get There
We are very pleased with our Kvosin experience. Chantal (concierge) assisted with meal plans and airport pickup. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was special, the location is within walking distance of everything. A bit pricey but overall excellent experience.
what a wonderful hotel...don't stay anywhere else..lots of room for 5 in the exec suite...continental breakfast great value and starts your day off right...close to everything but quiet after 10.front desk staff can fix anything
Five of us stayed here for 3 nights during our stopover on our way to Austria. A couple of us had been to Reykjavik before and wanted to ensure we brought our friends to the perfect place on this trip. We did by finding this luxury boutique hotel!
The staff is amazing - very professional and personable. Anything you need ... you got it! The hotel is centrally located where you can walk to most of the cultural sites and the harbor, tons of restaurants/bars, and shopping. Keep in mind that Iceland is very expensive so you won't be finding any sales here.
The rooms were very clean and minimalist (traditional of most Northern European countries). Even though this is a relatively small boutique hotel, we thought the rooms were spacious. Breakfast was very good and fueled us for our activity filled days.
It is hard to find a downside but in all honesty, it is probably the parking issue. We rented a SUV and weren't keen on parking at one of the public parking garages a couple of blocks away - would have preferred to park at the hotel. Metered parking is available in front of the hotel but who wants to keep checking the meter when you are on vacation? The metered spaces are free at night but you are competing with all the other guests in the vicinity unless you arrive back at the hotel earlier in the day (we were out most of the day to places far from Reykjavik so we didn't get back until later). We're not complaining considering this is located DOWNTOWN (awesome location) and space is a premium. Since everything else was so fantastic, it was easy to forget the parking situation.
We will probably stay here during our stopover on next year's ski trip. Thanks Kvosin!
My daughter and I stayed at the hotel just for one night and absolutely loved it. Clean, roomy, with a tasteful, contemporary design and complimentary treats but the most important- great location and staff. Sergei was very professional when greeted us the desk and available and helpful anytime of the day/night. I am planning on coming back to Kvosin and highly recommended it to my friends and family
The rooms at the hotel are huge! Enough space for a queen sized bed, a kitchen area and couch! It is well designed, super clean, very comfortable and has a ton of extra little touches that make the place feel homey. They had an oil diffuser in the room that smelled AMAZING! It’s is within walking distance to all of the major attractions and bus stops to the airport. The staff is also super nice and helpful. The bartender recommend a bunch of places we weren’t planning on going to but I’m very happy we did! I would 100% recommend this place to any of my family or friends who plan on visiting Rejkavik.
