The Review

Amid the shops, galleries and studios of Buenos Aires’s trendy Palermo Soho neighborhood, the 11-room Glu Hotel is a family-run spot that feels like an intimate home but looks like an homage to sleek minimalism. While the surrounding area is busy at all hours, the property has double-paneled walls and double-paned windows that create a quiet haven. The sanctuary-like vibe is reflected in the use of calming yellows, tans and chocolates in the rooms and common areas.

Unlike in many of Buenos Aires’s hotels, the three room types — the Glam Suite, the Glu Suite and the Luxe Suite — are uniformly spacious, with King beds, lounge areas, bar-top kitchen spaces, leather furniture and roomy bathrooms. Most rooms sleep more than a pair,{“type”:”img-inline”,”src”:”/static/images/product/properties/2887/prop-56126-1338411732-full.jpg”,”width”:”275″,”caption”:”The interiors show off a sharp, modern style, but the family-run property has an intimate vibe.”} though the Glu Hotel attracts couples and friends precisely for its space and personal touches. Expect plush robes and slippers in your room, plus fresh-cut flowers across the property.

The shared spaces in the hotel make good use of the territory as well. The main entrance opens onto a furnished bar area, where the tasty continental breakfast is served each morning. Guests sit on the cream leather couches, sipping strong coffee while perusing local and international publications or plotting a daytime itinerary with the help of the knowledgeable concierge.

Also on the ground floor is a small lounge area and a Scottish shower (a supershower with turbo jets) and sauna facilities — great for early check-in or late check-out — plus a back patio set up with tables and chairs and lit with votives at night. The rooftop terrace offers views of the surrounding low-rise neighborhood from wooden lounge chairs and a small Jacuzzi. Escape here for a dose of calm at the end of a day exploring this cosmopolitan corner of Buenos Aires.

Oasis in the city!

Stayed here for 10 days and I could not have been more pleased with the service, amenities, size of room and balcony, and the warm cozy feeling you felt coming and going from my home away from home. Great location near the new outlet mall -you don’t want to miss on your way to catch the subway to everything you want to see. For fun and funky shopping and eateries just steps away from front door. I was most pleased when I arrived to my clean room and my lost earring in the bedside table I will not stay anywhere else but with the “Glu” family when in BA

Great Boutique Hotel

This full service hotel in Buenos Aires is a great value. The rooms are modern and spacious. They have a refrigerator and water pot in the room for either tea or coffee. Room rate comes with breakfast, you can eat downstairs or in your room. The WIFI works well. Lucas and Carolina the receptionist are tremendous, from room booking, transportation to and from the airport, booking tango shows, and everything else they made our stay so much better. This place is a must stay!

Couldn't have been happier

I actually joined trip advisor so that I could give this hotel a rave review. The hotel is clean and decorated nicely. Great location and excellent service. Breakfast in the room each morning. One morning I called and had breakfast delivered within 10 minutes! The staff is friendly and everyone at the front desk speaks English. They were able to exchange small amounts of money too. Wish I had stayed here the first time I came to Buenos Aires.

Perfect for a visit to Buenos Aires

From our first contact, asking some questions via email, via our arrival and welcome, right through to our departure, we were extremely well looked after. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, and seemed genuinely committed to ensuring that our short stay in Buenos Aires was as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. We had an excellent, spacious room, at a sensible price and the hotel is in a central, safe location. We enjoyed ample breakfasts on our balcony overlooking the central courtyard. Lunch and dinner are not available in the hotel but there are numerous restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.
