How to Get There
Old style building very well preserved inside! Rooms are very nice and location is good near center and landmarks.the street itself was quite busy but within few blocks walk you are in more calm areas
When you can't leave the country there's no better place to be stranded than the Savoy! This place is almost as nice as the 5-star hotel we lucked into in Mendoza. We might not have chosen this location but their last-minute vacancy made our last night&day in Argentina memorable and more. The public areas are on a par with the opera house and splendid bookstore we had seen that day. Buenos Aires has stayed classy and the Savoy Hotel is emblematic. I would not rave about the food based on our one dinner, but the breakfast buffet is abundant and accessible. The room we got had 2 twin beds but they were already pushed together, good mattresses too. There was an ante room with armoire and desk so we could spread out to repack for the flight home. All the amenities were completely updated, including a rainfall shower. alas*no wash cloths. With an evening flight out we asked to leave our luggage after checkout. They could not have been nicer about it; helping us plan our day, letting us loiter and even use the fitness center to shower and change clothes before calling a taxi to send us on our way.
I felt I was getting Four Seasons or Ritz quality at a quarter the price. Simply superb. Beautiful romantic building, rooms renovated and couldnt be nicer. Very pleasant staff. I never giue reviews but in this case felt compellled to.
My HI Express reservation was overbooked when I came back from a trip and tried to check in.They sent me by private car to Savoy hotel where I got a suite.Paid by HI Express. Thx Savoy. Very good job!!
