Great hotel in a great location

The Panamericano Hotel is great. We had a city view room which had a balcony and overlooked the Obelisk, the Theatro Colon, Pellegrini... beautiful views! The room was large, bed was very comfortable, lovely furniture, air conditioning worked great, overall a very nice room. The staff is super nice. Old world charm in the heart of Buenos Aires. Would definitely stay here again.

Old World Charm

The hotel is centrally located, walking distance to many sites in Buenos Aires. We had a suite with two double beds, a desk and chair, a sofa and two coffee tables. The refrigerator was spacious and cold.
The 23rd floor has a rooftop pool, bar and terrace. The views form there are spectacular, especially at night. The only drawback is that it closes at 9 PM. There are some advertisements in brochures and on booking websites that speak about a “Green Room,” for virtual golf. It no longer exists.
Breakfast was great. Many different food selections for all tastes. The staff was courteous and helpful.

A Tired Lady in Need of Renovation

As part of a tour package, our tour company placed us at the Panamericano. We noticed that several other agencies were using the hotel so it must be good. While it was close to all sites we wanted see, the rooms are sad. While some in our group were given rooms deemed good, unfortunately my wife and I were placed in two rooms on separate occasions which truly were sad. Showers were difficult to climb into because they were tub combinations and attempting to guess how the faucets operated was a nightmare. While the staff was friendly and tried to made things better, it nonetheless, was less than desirable. I would not recommend hotel, if I was to solely book it myself. But as part of the tour package, it sufficed. The food was below average. As an aside, one of the nights we stayed at this location we were placed on the 23rd floor. Suddenly, the room began swaying. Being a California native, we were used to earthquakes. The front desk denied such an event. However, the news reported the next morning a 6.7 quake had struck Chile. More excitement.

Our saviour hotel when we had made a terrible mistake booking at the neighbouring hotel.

Having originally booked the hotel next door that was advertised as a four-star hotel that should actually be rated as a 1-star hotel we moved immediately to the Panamericano hotel a fantastic grand hotel with very friendly staff. The receptionist told us it was a daily occurrence that guests from the neighbouring hotel switch to this hotel. All receptionist and lobby staff were excellent, courteous and helpful.

Lovely Grand Hotel needs some tender care

Panamericano Hotel It’s a hotel with grandeur in the lobby and dining areas. The rooms need basic small repairs to live up to the quality of the hotel. All workers were helpful and friendly.
Small repairs needed: toilet seat loose, refrigerator doesn’t work, air didn’t work sometimes, wallpaper peeling, etc. This lovely grand hotel needs some tender care.
