Wonderful hotel, excellent service

Great location in the heart of
downtown, centrally located for shopping, etc. Beautiful, older building, great rooms. Wonderful service. Strong 4-star, easily 5-stars any where else. Best pool & gym located on top (23rd) floor; great for drinks and sunset.

Gorgeous View of the Center Of Buenos Aires

From our front window we looked out to see the Opera Building one direction and the Obelisko the other direction. The handsome room was large enough that we could roll up the rugs and practice our Tango dancing. We even had our private dance lesson. In the room, which shows how big the room was.

The breakfast buffet was generous and beautiful.

The hotel situated to make shopping easy.

Lovely place to bring our seven weeks in South America to a close.

Not a 5 star hotel

I will start with the 2 PRO’s: 1. Good location; 2. Cigar bar! 3. Awesome view from the pool site
1. the wifi it’s not free. The one it’s free has the snail’s speed, you can’t post a foto on FB. You will end up paying 10USD/day to get a reasonable speed.
2. I have asked for an adaptor, I have been brought one that hadn’t fit my needs and they had no solution. I had to buy an adaptor on my own from the Chinese shop near the hotel...as they didn’t offer to help..5 stars...
3. They gave me a room with view to the air conditioning units making a lot of noise. The room was large, but old, and one can notice that on the walls, the sheets and the design pillows...not that clean.
4. I had the same poor breakfast for 10 days. Not one single change in the menú
5. No exchange office in the hotel. It’s not that you can easily find an exchange office in Buenos Aires...
6. No iron in the room, no free coffee
Overall it was a nice experience, but it was because of the whole trip. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel when traveling for business...

Great location

Very classy hotel. Centre of the city, looks very old school, with ornate decor. Rooms are really large. Checked in at midnight, it was fast and effortless. Not expensive. Break fast is very good and included some Chinese and Japanese dishes.

A grand old dame of Buenos Aires

A good old fashioned hotel in a great location for both business and leisure. A visit to the opera house for a guided tour is a must (the opera house is directly opposite).

The hotel is large and clean with many facilities. My room (503) was a good size, light and comforatble but a little noisy as it is on the lower floors. The bathrooms need updating. The included breakfast is fine but doesn't have a very large selection of hot foods and I found it better to go early before the tour parties arrive and consume everything. The staff are friendly and helpful.

There is a pub within the hotel that allows smoking and has a cigar shop. The problem is the Celtic Pub has no draft beer, not even local larger never mind anything remotely Irish.
