Well kept and good location

This hotel has two towels. We stayed in the North towel for 3 nights in room 2124 facing on the side of the other building. Our room decorated nicely even it’s an old building but it’s well kept and clean. Service was pretty good too. Breakfast is so so. Location is good. It’s located on the Main Street and closed to shop, Opera House etc. Roof top has a swim pool and very nice view.

This is a great location. The breakfast buffet is delicious. We had the most decadent dessert in the dining room. The service was great and all of the waiters were friendly and were attentive. The lobby is very spacious.

In good location

The hotel location is excellent. Its very near teatro colon and several restaurants around. The lobby is nice but the bathrooms need some remodeling. Service is friendly. Buffett breakfast is good. They have good view of the square when you visit their spa/pool area on the 3rd floor.

Dated Hotel
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I stayed last year in this hotel but didn’t like it. I was put in a very odd room, narrow and long. After many trips keeping going to my usual hotel (Sofitel, formerly The Brick) I decided to give Panamericano another chance. Never again. There isn’t something really wrong with this place, it’s just that there is a whole bunch of better options out there. Service is OK, breakfast also, but the rooms are dated, not clean, mold on the wall in the bathroom’s wallpaper, etc.
They put a couple of water bottles the first day but there were never replaced afterwards. Toiletries are of a very low quality.
In sum, this is more like a good 3 stars hotel rather than a 4 or 5 stars. So adjust your expectations, and don’t be fooled by the nice lobby.

Loved it overall

We had a spacious suite looking over the Obelisco and Teatro Colón with a generous bathroom containing a walk in shower and stand alone bath tub. We could not fault the room itself and the view. We were surprised, however, that there weren’t any tea or coffee making facilities in the room for the price and grade of room and that the minibar was empty.

The pool on the 23rd floor is lovely, it’s just a shame that it shuts at 9 pm.

Check in took too long though. After two weeks of travelling through Argentina, this was the slowest check in we experienced throughout our stay and this was meant to be the nicest place we stayed in. We arrived at around 6 pm and were surprised to see such slow service at that time. Staff did not apologise for keeping us waiting when they eventually attended us either.

We enjoyed the breakfast and thought there was a good variation of food on offer.

All in all a lovely hotel but a few little improvements could make it great.
