Great location in the heart of the city, large airy rooms with very odd balconies.
Staff were very helpful and food and drink was plentiful and tasty.
The buffet pleased most people but was a litle crowded for breakfast.

One night stay Feb 5...great choice

Spent one night there before our SA cruise. Got there before rooms were ready, front desk offered an upgrade for $10 additional ....this room was ready so we took it.
Hotel is in a good area, near to restaurants, convenience stores etc. Very clean, nice restaurant, good breakfast.
They helped us to get taxis to the ship.
We would return there.....

Three Nights in Buenos Aires

Checked into the NH 9 de Julio after a cruise around South America ended on March 2. It was early in the morning and the room was not yet available. The staff took our bags to hold until the room was ready. Tomas, one of the staff, was most helpful in guiding us in how to spend a few hours until the room was ready. Good advice, we took a hop on hop off bus and got back later that evening. Got our bags and went to our room. The room was a nice size. One point, you need to have your room key or other magnetic strip card inserted into a slot so that the lights turn on. It was a very modern room. The bathroom was clean containing a toilet, bidet, shower, and double sink. The room was clean and it contained a small refrigerator hidden in the desk. Free wifi was available which was good since the TV only had programs in Spanish not English and I used my phone apps. The beds while firmer than we would have liked, were comfortable and we slept well. They have a full breakfast, if you choose it when making reservations. It is a nice area with subway, buses, taxis nearby. Taxis are inexpensive to take and some will grudgingly accept credit cards. We experienced no issues with the hotel. The staff spoke English. There is a pool, sauna and patio on the 13th floor. We would stay here again.

Good value for such a central location

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel. We asked the hotel to arrange a taxi from the airport for us, and we had the cost of this added to our hotel bill. This cost slightly extra but when we saw the massive queues for currency at the airport we were pleased we arranged it this way. We were allowed to check in early, which was so useful after our long flight.
Our room was spacious, although rather lacking in furniture, some shelves and comfy chairs would have been nice.
We thought the breakfast was excellent, there was a good choice and everything was replenished as soon as it was needed.
The location was great and we were able to walk to most places.
Our only disappointment with this hotel was the swimming pool. I booked this hotel because it had a pool, but we never got to use it. The first day it had rained in the morning, so it was closed for the rest of the day. The next day it opened at 10am, so too late for a swim before breakfast. When it was finally opened we went into the pool area and noticed that the pool was very cloudy, with something black on the bottom, so we gave up.

Just ok

Pros: descent service and clean room.
Cons: mediocre breakfast and food, outdated structure and greenish pool. Overall, this hotel looks and feels very outdated. It serves its its basic function of a good night sleep. But that is about it.
