Our Home in Buenos Aires

What a delightful stay, we are thrilled with our choice to be a guest of Casa Calma. From the moment you step into the lobby, it becomes apparent this hotel goes above and beyond to be sure you have a relaxing stay. The scent in the lobby is completely delightful, as are the plants on the wall, bamboo bicycles, and lovely library nook. It says on the door this hotel is a wellness hotel, and it lives up to this completely. We loved the "grass" floor elevator, very cute touch.

Only two rooms on each floor, so things are so quiet and peaceful. We had a gorgeous street view with vines dangling down from the vertical garden outside, gorgeous and tranquil. You feel like you're in the middle of a jungle, or in a tree house, but youre well situated in the heart of centro with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around.

We loved our tour given by Celeste, she was very kind to see that we were settled in well. We were shocked at how spacious and well equipped our room was. There was a huge, comfortable king sized bed, massive two person tub, shower, and even a sauna! Well stocked mini bar with reasonable prices and a large flat screen TV.

I would come here on a honeymoon, it is truly a special getaway! At any rate, we will stay here again and again when we find ourselves in Buenos Aires. Thank you to Celeste and the Casa Calma team for a PERFECT stay. We wish it could have lasted longer!

Would stay here every time

First time to BA and we opted to try out two different hotels. This one was above and beyond the better in BA and probably our favorite out of all the hotels we stayed in around the country...AND it won't break the bank! This might sound weird, but the rooms smell amazing! The bed was comfortable, the location was fantastic, the staff were extremely helpful (and speak English for the most part).....I have nothing bad to say. Right before we arrived the hotel was bought over by new management so my only hope is that it keeps its standards up.

Felt Blessed by Lucky Booking

I didn't dedicate as much time as normal researching before booking with Casa Calma and couldn't have picked a better place for our Nov. 2018 stay in Buenos Aires. Celeste and Martin welcomed us upon arrival and were just awesome throughout our stay. Think smiling eyes combined with quick information and action.

The room was beautiful and had good layout flow. I really loved the bamboo and plants! With that, the spectacular tub and comfy bed It begged you to relax. I'm not usually good at relaxing but the whole atmosphere made the sleeping in and afternoon naps heavenly.

My Espanol es no bueno, but it was absolutely no problemo. In fact, they helped with all kinds of questions that arose from our ineptitude even to the extent of making reservations and helping with calling taxis. Their recommendations for restaurants and activities were also spot on.

There was so much heart. I have three stand out events from our stay that speak to the care provided. We had mentioned it was my birthday when getting help with reservations and on the morning of my 50th at breakfast they brought me a decadent desert with a candle and card. Unfortunately that night my husband was out running an errand and while checking my e-mails I got some really bad new from home. I went downstairs to get some tea and a gentleman I had not met before went to ask me if I needed help. I declined and went on my miserable way but he again asked if I was ok or needed anything. I looked up to see that he really was asking me if I needed anything. I surmised that Casa Calma was his establishment and when he confirmed I expressed that he should be very proud of what he created. It is really no wonder with an owner that cares so much about his visitors that it would be reflected by the others. This was further confirmed later in the stay when I was commenting on the good service of one person at the front desk to another and he relayed that yes, they had gotten a lot of new people but that they spent time making sure they understood not just what should be done but also the spirit/intention behind it.

Room cleaning, laundry service, and all functionalities were excellent as would be expected with their attention to detail. If there was a Casa Calma in every place I visited, I would stay there exclusively.

Great stay on small very cozy hotel

We loved everything about CasaCalma:
We arrived late in the night, but were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff.
The property felt very cosy, our floor had only two apartments.
Room was very simply but beautifully decorated, creating a truly relaxing environment.
The bed was great, huge and comfortable.
The bathroom was large and felt almost like a small SPA - we had a large jacuzzi tub, big enough for the two of us, and a small dry sauna, apart from the normal shower etc.
Breakfast was simple yet very nice.
Again, on departure, staff was very helpful and very very nice.
This review, while factual, does not convey well how nice we felt at this place. It was truly a great experience.

Great location, comfortable hotel

We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of our first ever time in Buenos Aires.
The reception staff were so helpful even before we had left home helping us to book a private car from the airport and a tango show.
We arrived a little early for check in, so we grabbed something to eat nearby and within about an hour we could go our room which overlooked the street. As others have said, the rooms are spacious and with the large jacuzzi bath, ideal after a long flight! There is also a large separate shower with a lovely monsoon shower head.
The bed is huge and comfortable. Basic toiletries are provided; soap, shampoo and conditioner and bath salts for the jacuzzi.
With a small balcony and the doors open in the warm sun, there was a gentle breeze entering the room, it really was a nice place to be....but then we would have missed all that Buenos Aires has to offer.
Found walking around the immediate areas comfortable and never intimidating. We walked to Recoleta Cemetery, Casa Rosado but caught a taxi to go further afield such as to San Telmo or Caminito.
The taxi prices are very reasonable and they are everywhere. Little tip, take the card that the hotel gives you with your room key out with you so that you can show this to the taxi driver so that he knows where to drop you back.
Breakfast was lovely, with enough choice for us, cereal, toast and pastries.
A big thank you to Maria who works tirelessly at breakfast, even remembering how we take our coffee each morning.
We booked a taxi to take us back to the airport via reception and it was there at the exact time and for an agreed amount which we could pay direct to the driver.
We loved our stay at CasaCalma and wished we could have stayed longer.
We will return another time to BA and will definitely stay at CasaCalma hotel.
