How to Get There
Excellent place to have a Champagne with friends, it was like being in a Sean Connery James Bond 007 movie, great service and they treat you like royalty, Thanks Algodon Mansion, will be back next November.
Great location, friendly staff, large rooms, modern bath and great breakfast spot
the staff made you feel like it was a friendly bed and breakfast but had all the amenities of a top hotel.
We recommend it highly
We booked Algodon Mansion for three nights for a trip with three other couples upon recommendation by our travel agent. It is located in upscale neighborhood Recoleta. There are probably less than twenty rooms, and there are two nice areas to gather with friends and other guests. There is always wine available, and delicious snacks. Breakfast is next door, the gym is across the street, and therefore it feels like you actually live in that beautiful neighborhood.
The service is amazing. Everybody at that place is very friendly and service oriented. Unbelievably nice people. All speak English very well. What a great place to stay. Highly recommend it.
I recently traveled with family to Argentina including a 4 night stay in Buenos Aires. Never having been to Buenos Aires, I did not know what to expect. I chose to stay at the Algodon Mansion based on its reviews and location within they city, which proved to be a great choice. The location, the facilities and staff were all superb. They made our group of 7, ranging in age from 7 to 82, feel like part of their family. They were always at the ready to assist us with our activities. Another unexpected bonus was their generous happy hours with access to their private label Malbec wines from their vineyard in Mendoza. I found their wine to one the best that encountered on our stay and have since purchased upon my return home. Another example of their hospitality was after we left Buenos Aires to visit other parts of Argentina. A change in the schedule of our return flight to the US caused us to stay an unexpected night again in Buenos Aires. I called the hotel staff who made special arrangements to have a room available upon on our arrival.
Buenos Aires is a beautiful city with many districts that can be overwhelming. I feel that the Algodon Mansion helped us comfortably enjoy the city and to get the most out of our visit.
I have mixed feelings about this hotel. It is well located and the staff are brilliant but the rooms and breakfast area were very tired. Breakfast itself was underwhelming and the guest rooms need to be renovated. The staff however are for the most part super friendly and their restaurant suggestions are spot on. Leonardo was especially helpful. It is definitely not a five star hotel but the service is.
