Set in lovely grounds a great place relax. Helpful staff, especially the house keeping team. Fabulous breakfasts, especially the chocolate chip cake, served in light airy room. Lots of helpful tips, including directions, on places to visit/eat. The inn is a good walk from Chatham but hey you can off a good meal.

First B&B experience! Exceeded our expectations

This was our first experience at a B&B and attention to detail was outstanding. We were blown away by included amenities, especially breakfast each morning. We enjoyed the large jacuzzi tub in our room and the personal touches, including salt for the baths. The grounds were well kept and it was pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the daily wine hour. We will definitely be back

Wonderful in every way!

The Captain's House Inn has everything you could want or need. The property is a short drive to the main downtown area and the lighthouse. The hosts and staff truly make you feel welcome and at home. They were available any time we had a question. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious with lots of different options to choose from. it is served in a beautiful greenhouse-type room with views of the lovely garden. There is a wine hour from 5:00 to 6:00. It was so relaxing to take a glass of wine outside and unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. At night they have a delicious selection of fresh baked goodies and tea or coffee. We stayed in the Hannah Rebekah room. It had deluxe toiletries and a large shower. The king bed was very comfortable. The room was beautifully decorated. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Same excellent Captains House Inn as it was 15 years ago

My wife and I are from Oregon. We stayed at the Captains House Inn 15 years ago, so we were familiar with the place. We even selected the same room, Wild Pigeon. We highly recommend the Captains House and the Wild Pigeon.

The room itself was clean and keep up every morning. They would make up the room while we ate breakfast. We stayed 1 week, so the sheets were changed after three days.

Morning breakfast had many different items to choose from and offered two entrees. The meals were delicious and there was always more than enought to eat. Our servers were the young ladies from England who are studying hospitality. They were the greatest and made our stay a place to remember.

Do not hesitate staying here. Very pleasant surroundings and welcoming owners.

Great Weekend!

I picked this property to stay at based on the posted reviewns and have to say it did not disappoint. The innkeeper and her staff were attentive and handled requests with ease. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of breads and muffins if you wanted more . We stayed in the captains cottage in the Lady Mariah Room. The bed was quite firm which I like with no valley that you end up rolling into. I would guess that the mattress was new or nearly new which is a big plus. My wife also enjoyed the elegant and relaxing claw tube with fireplace. The shower was also huge and brand new.

The location of the Captains house seems very central to all attractions and pretty much anything you need such as restaurants, shopping, the beach, package store, fishing charters convenience stores, pizza are all less than a 5 min ride.

Overall I was very pleased and would stay here again.
