I hadn't really chosen my hotel at Provincetown until a few weeks before my stay. I selected the Prince Albert Guest House more or less based on its name. In this town this name was perfect!
I was a little late in checking in so I called the guest house. No problem. A key was left for me with an explanation on how to find the parking area. It worked out perfectly. I let myself in to the guest house and I was greeted by a couple staying there as well. I felt welcome right from the beginning.
My room was a corner room in the back of the ground floor. Room #8, I believe, right across from the kitchen. It was quite big and even a patio - not a private one, but it worked well for me and my needs. The bathroom was really nice and seemed remodeled recently. Loved the bed and loved the atmosphere at this place.
I also selected this guest house based on the location. I wanted to be right in the middle of town without having to drive here or walk for more than 5 minutes. The area around the guest house is nice and there are bars, shops and restaurants near by.
Breakfast had a lot of choices and the host (owner?) was there to provide the proper level of service and cook breakfast, I guess. It seemed very homey and pleasant. A real down to earth place but still with great quality with everything from the room, location and breakfast. This was the perfect ending to a great two weeks in the North East.
We had a wonderful stay. Paul was an excellent host. Breakfast had lots of choices and was fresh! Bed was so comfortable and the location is perfect on commercial street. Highly recommend this guest house!
