How to Get There
Gstaad was the longest stay as part of our road trip from London, around Europe.
Not having been there before the drive into the town alone was epic, passing some magnificent valleys, rolling fields and chocolate box villages.
Once in Gstaad we checked into the Le Grand Bellevue for a very personalised welcome and a fantastic room on the first floor, with an enormous Balcony.
The feel of the hotel is very homely, with staff going out of their way to make you feel relaxed and the only ones there. The hotels itself has a great range of Spas and an outdoor hyrotherapy pool.
The location, so close to the town is a clear winner over others, and the walk to Saanen a very nice touch. The stands and cleanliness of the hotel are extremely high.
Olivier gave us some superb recommendation to visit Glacier 300 and walk from Col du Pillon to Feutersoey. We took advantage of both and really enjoyed the experiences.
Breakfast in the hotel was excellent with a good range of juices, teas, coffees, cereas and complete hot menu made to order. Dining at the bar, at Leonards and in the Fondue Chalet was again very easy, and very relaxing. I preferred to eat at the hotel than go into Town. Thats testament to how good it was.
It was a pleasure to meet Daniel the owner of the hotel. Thanks for the great memories. Thanks to all of the staff, who made our stay very special, and in particular, Daniel, Olivier (for the hiking tips) Maria on the front desk, Carolina for the great fondue, Jasine and Franziska for looking after us at breakfast.
All of the bar staff I would like to thank for mixing some great drinks!
Joe & Heidi
Have just been here for a couple of drinks before supper & were looked after beautifully. Superb service in a very special setting. Attentive yet unobtrusive service. Highly recommended, only a shame that we cannot return sooner
I don't normally add reviews after trips/holidays, but this hotel is too amazing not to share. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff is beyond excellent. Their professionalism is five star, but it's their attention to detail and eagerness to ensure your visit is both memorable and fulfilling that makes this hotel so special. I can not praise Daniel and his team enough. If you want an unforgettable romantic trip, this hotel along with the area is second to none. We can't wait to return.
