Sophisticated resort and spa overlooking Lake Rosseau in Ontario’s splendid cottage country
Canada's first JW Marriott Resort & Spa is in the heart of Muskoka, a natural, unspoiled lake country beloved by Torontonians. Set on a granite bluff overlooking serene Lake Rosseau, this resort takes cottage country seriously. Rooms and suites come equipped with stone fireplaces and kitchens and are decorated in an elegant country style. Days here are spent hiking, paddling, golfing, snowshoeing, ice-skating and splashing (in the lake, outdoor pool or indoor pool)—or doing nothing at all over a treatment or two in the lovely lake-view Spa Rosseau.
In the Area
The Rock Golf Club is a 6,650-yard par-71 natural wonder designed by six-time PGA Champion Nick Faldo. With outcrops of granite and forest-lined fairways, it’s at its most stunning in autumn when the deciduous forests erupt in a riot of red, oranges and yellows (but it can be played in spring and summer, too). Canoe, kayak or splash down the giant inflatable waterslide at the resort’s private beach. Come nightfall, arrange for a bonfire at the Fish Rock fire pit and have a wonderful evening under the stars.
