Overview

A dose of SoCal Cool with a London twist is the winning combination at this chic Sunset Strip hideaway

The Lowdown

Make like a Hollywood starlet at this West Coast sister to the feted New York property. The vibe mixes old-school glamour — best exemplified by the glitzy London Bar — with classic Californian pursuits like rooftop yoga classes, hand-crafted cocktails and shopping excursions to nearby Rodeo Drive. The tasteful, residential feel of the rooms comes courtesy of interiors guru David Collins, while the food, from gourmet breakfast spreads to poolside snacks, springs from the mind of London-born celeb chef, Gordon Ramsay.

In the Area

While visitors may head to the storied Rodeo Drive for shopping and celeb scoping, the locals head to nearby Melrose Avenue and West Third Street for the real action: Marc Jacobs, Fred Segal and Vince all have outposts and Joan’s on Third, Urth Caffé and Toast routinely cater to the celebrity brunching set. If you’re looking for something close to home, get a hearty dose of leafy veggies at the new West Hollywood outpost of Tender Greens or opt for some pork toro and sticky rice ice cream sandwiches at Night + Market, just down the street from the London. When it’s time to unwind, the Sunset Blvd. Mondrian has one of the city’s best rooftops, and nearby Greystone Manor hosts internationally-acclaimed DJs multiple nights a week.

Brilliant, huge rooms and the BEST bathrooms!
Reviewed 3 days ago

I used to review hotel rooms so I am hard to please. The London really delivers - it is a well oiled machine! The London has truly classy rooms with restful beds, beautiful quality linen and pillows - a balcony view over Hollywood, a massive work desk, couch area and little dining table, all in a standard room. I promise they are significantly bigger than other hotels around Sunset/Hollywood. The bathrooms are truly sumptuous with a beautiful double shower, huge bath and vanity area. There's decent closet space and rooms are designed so the suitcase storage is not in full view as you sleep (I hate that).
The front desk/lobby area is outrageously well managed. You never wait for front desk to pick up a call, check out is seamless and there is a town car to drop you at places nearby. Your hire car will be whisked up in a matter of moments.
The concierge desk is amazing too and a real asset for travellers to the city. Sarah Dandashy (a Les Clefs d'Or concierge) has a great hit list for the city and organised reservations for us, sorted a few travel logistics hiccups (we all have them right?) - nothing was too much trouble.
The pool is outrageously, quinessentially LA, with pool cabanas, a 'scene' and sunset views that will take your breath away. The only weak spot with the London is the breakfast buffet. It's very ordinary (dull pastries, bagels and generic cheeses, fruit salad that could use some care and attention and overly sweet granola/yoghurt mixes. A la carte is a little better but it a let down. Service at breakfast is still excellent though.
The London is a great West Hollywood hotel, great value

Love the London! Fun, modern yet warm. Family-friendly too!

Love this hotel. It is cool and hip enough for couples and friends to enjoy but also warm and approachable enough for families with kids. We visited with two teenage boys and one ten year old. Loved the room, the view, the hotel's location (close to shops, sights and a lovely tiny sushi spot). Workout room a plus and the complimentary breakfast amazing. Cannot wait to return. Maybe next time without kids!

Damin made my birthday staycation at The London one I’ll never forget!!! He is amazing and so is The London. He went above and beyond to make sure every single detail was taken care of and treated me and my friends to the highest level of hospitality! We loved everything about our trip and can’t wait to come back! Thank you so much again Damin! -C

Best West Hollywood Hotel

My daughter and I enjoyed the experience we had at The London. Everything detail in the hotel was second to none. We loved our experiences at the Hotel restaurant bar and the service we received from Julian Wagner was the most fun that we have had in a longtime. Thankyou, we will be back.

London West Hollywood is Great

Top notch service and everyone is friendly and accommodating. The renovated pool area is spectacular and I suggest renting a cabana for the day. A few too many kids for my taste but is what it is. A special shout out to Deborah, Alexis, and Brittney for their outstanding service!
