How to Get There
I can not describe in words how amazing my stay was. The staff, food, winery, room, and everything else was just simply perfect! If you are in the area and looking for a place to stay and do wine tasting, look no further.
The vineyard and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Eat at their restaurant and try their handmade wines! You won’t be disappointed! This place was a little slice of heaven. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Can be used for all types of occasions. Set up beautifully for weddings, romantic get away, business functions or a family get away.
Beautiful hotel rooms and views, amazing staff and service, close walking distance to Ponte Winery. The new pool was a nice addition. Our family enjoyed the quiet of the mid-week. We enjoyed our stay so much...we will be back soon!
My husband and I have been at the property several times and had a wonderful experience, this visit was a disappointment. The room was not ready, I rec'd a call stating we could check in and when we arrived I was told the room was not ready. We had the Grand Suite, the most expensive room in the hotel, furthermore there are only two rooms which I was told on the day of our arrival
both were available I also rec'd a call stating we could check in early, therefore we left the tasting room which the staff are extremely rude and we are wine club members ( we are cancelling our membership as we've had a negative experience in the tasting room in the past). When booking our reservation I was asked if I prefer champagne or white wine (as in the past). When we finally checked into our room 1hr after arriving to the hotel and sitting in the lobby waiting, there was not complimentary wine. I called the desk and I was told they do not give complimentary wine !!! Not true as each time we have two bottles of complimentary wine chilled in our Grand Suite. Not this time. Furthermore the view from the room is beautiful when the fountains are working. They did not work at all!! I called the desk and they stated the fountains only work during the day (not true). At night they light up and during the XMAS season, it's wonderful. Again, I was demeaned by the front desk. Furthermore, the fountain was not working during the day (perhaps there is a liability issue). As the night progressed, we wanted room service as I was told during booking the reservation they have now added room service from the cellar. However, there was no room service menu in the room and when I called the desk I was told they do not provide room service.
Therefore, we will not return and furthermore will not recommend this property to anyone. It is a shame as we are local and wanted a place to return to on a routine basis. Perhaps they just were overwhelmed that day, however as a paying customer the service was a disgrace.
We booked last minute due to a fire in San Diego. I saw lots of rooms available but only one said second floor specifically...since it was a weeknight I figured I would book it & ask 14 or so hours later at check-in about the other possibilities. Upon our (early) arrival, my husband checked in & asked about other rooms. He was told none were available at all. I stood there with my cell phone looking at just about every variety of room available per their own website but decided it was fine...we are not confrontational. Then he asked when the room would be ready & she said "well, I would have to call housekeeping" and that was it. She didnt offet to do it or a time estimate. She asked my husband if he wanted a glass of their moscato before I wandered over & she offered me none.
We asked her what restaurants were open & she said "I think the one behind the tasting room". I think? Do you work here? Notheless, we loved the Restaurant at Ponte & the server, loved the wine, thought the hotel was super cool & immaculate & werent gonna let one horrible (but nice) emoloyee ruin it. Management: please tell guests above Bouquet they will be woken up by loud talking at 7am due to the breakfast service...the room descriprion is false advertising.
