How to Get There
Very nice hotel, clean and beautiful. The personal was friendly. The restaurant and bar were great and the food delicious. Thank you very much for the nice moments. We definitely recommend this place.
We were looking for a place to celebrate our wedding anniversary and lucked into The Landsby in Solvang. The first person I spoke with, John S., was super helpful and informative. He set us up and then seamlessly handed us off to the onsite manager, Julie, who gave us the special attention that makes you feel welcomed.
They were reason enough to give the experience a 4 but the hotel put it over the top. We stayed in a junior suite and this split level spacious room was tasteful and the deep soaking tub was perfect. If you go, make sure to walk out your front door to the center courtyard where there are comfy chairs arranged around the multiple lava rock fires going in the evening.
We recently stayed at The Landsby for 3 nights and the location and design were great! Very clean lines and furnishings. However, the staff needs improvement ... first night we went to the bar for a drink and waited 20 minutes before the bartender even acknowledged us ... yes it was busy but she seemed more interested in joining in a conversation at the other end of the bar ... then one day of our stay housekeeping did not show up, and when I called the person at the front desk said ‘well there’s nothing I can do about it now (it was 5:30 pm ...) because they all left. Then she proceeded to say ‘housekeeping said you had your do not disturb sign on’ ... which we had on while out for breakfast but it was removed by 10:30 am! Spoke to the General Manager about the housekeeping issue and attitude, and while he was apologetic he also said more than once ‘housekeeping said you had the do not disturb sign on’. While I understand supporting your staff ... rubbing this type of thing in the customers face especially when you didn’t do it is more than annoying. They did offer a $50 credit and an upgrade the next time I would be there ... nice jesture, but they need to change their attitude and service level before that would happen.
