Love the Oceana

The Oceana is my first choice when staying in Santa Monica. The only issue I had was not being notified in advance that hotel was closing Sunday for renovations and our included breakfast would not be available.

a stinky room with a view of the wall for 1300$ per 2 nights
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

It was on our honeymoon. I booked the the room with king size bed. We came in the evening by car and the Valet parking costs was 50$, although it is free across the street. We overpaid (around 1300$ per 2 nights and breakfast was not included!!!) for a stinky room with a view of the wall and two different beds. I asked change this awful room and we were said to pay in addition 50$!! of course we did it. We were disappointed. we stay only in five stars hotel and the Ocean beach club hotel is three stars maximum!

A trist at the Oceana

Stayed two nights at the Oceana Beach Club Hotel after living at the Carlyle Hotel in NY ... I will say two very different feels but when I came home to LA it was a nice reprive from the fires in Malibu we booked a two night stay at the Oceana and it was awesome. The staff was accomodating and the place was charming beyond words. The on location restaurant has the best Skirt Steak and frits i've had in a long long time. I will say that little tiny resturant puts out a some 5 star meals... Loved it I will stay there again and again... Highly recommed this place.

No champagne upon arrival. Room service food, TERRIBLE. breakfast the next morning, WORST than room service. AND NINTY FIVE DOLLARSSet up a nice weekend for my son and his wife. This hotel just wasn't what they advertised. We won't be back.( be careful when showering as a metal pole flew off and almost hit our son in the head).

Lookofsky Evacuation Accomidations

Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and commendations. Additionally, we were very grateful for helping us when we needed it the most as we were evacuated from our home. You made it as pain free as possible and gave us a great place to stay and went out of your way to make it as simple as possible and the discounts helped as well. The only thing I am questioning is one afternoon our son ordered an order of fires by the pool and when we received the bill at home via email, your printer was out of order when we checked out, the cost of thoughts fries were $18. That seems extremely high for one order of fries when he could have had a kids burger and fires for $20. Can you please look into this and advise. Thank you and all the best. Brian Lookofsky
