Wonderful stay!!

I had a wonderful experience at the Seal Cove Inn! The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean, the inn is very cute and the service was fantastic! I loved the wine hour and the ability to have your breakfast in your room or out in the breakfast area was very convenient! I would definitely stay here again!

08/2015 Wedding night stay with flaws
Reviewed 7 days ago

My husband and I chose to stay at this hotel for our wedding night. I booked our stay directly with the hotel and informed them it would be our wedding night and we'd be checking in very late. I also called and asked for a late check-out and they said they'd let us stay a little longer.

Our stay was nice but the next day there was no late check out and they said they had never heard any such instructions from whoever I spoke to on the phone (who said she'd write it down with our reservation).

Also, our toilet flooded. Out of nowhere. It wasn't clogged or anything. It just leaked all over. We called the front desk and someone eventually brought towels and we laid them on the floor.

All in all, I liked the ambiance but much was left to be desired. If I ran such a luxury inn, one that charges so much, and a couple rented out the most expensive room for their wedding night, I'd make sure that experience was memorable (and not in a toilet flooding kind of way). I've stayrd at less luxury hotels who made more of an effort and who didn't forget/lose requests and whose toilets didn't malfunction.

This stay was in August 2015.

Incredible stay

From the moment we arrived to the minute we left we were treated like family and friends. Beautiful, clean and very well kept rooms and property. Walking trails are very close by as is the ocean. Breakfast was very delicious. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Our reservation was made directly with hotel staff prior to our visit. The need for a handicap accessible room was a major concern and expressed in detail with staff. When we arrived we found that our assigned suite was on the 2nd floor of a walk-up (no elevator) property with no way of traversing the stairs. When asked for any available room on the 1st floor we were turned down and sent to look for accommodations elsewhere. When we checked their website upon leaving we saw that the property had several other rooms available throughout the property. We were more than livid. Although we were told that management would contact us, no one ever contacted us. To this date, no one has contacted us about this horrible situation. WORST CUSTOMER CARE EVER EXPERIENCES. Clearly this property does not care about its customers. We still have not received a refund of more than $1500 for this stay.

English grandeur at the Pacific coast near San Francisco

I have this list of hotels to return to, Seal Cove Inn is now on that list. Located next to a small beach seal appear now and then. But the hotel by itself is splendid enough. English style in perfection. Superb breakfast, and good restaurant in Moss Beach and Half-moon bay around the corner. So consider this before diving in the San Francisco area (that's 30 minutes drive) if you want some 5-stars peace, romantic and relaxing
