How to Get There
Nice hotel near of San Francisco airport.
Very big but not confused
Lots of space and clean
The meeting rooms are ok with daylight .
To improve, the breakfast, not included and very expensive for the options.
All staff polite
The Marriott is nice but it is further away then other hotels and it’s not on or near the bay like many others. The offer a free shuttle but it only runs once per hour. The hotel is somewhat outdated but they have signs everywhere saying a Summer 2019 remodel is coming.
The room had a king bed with 2 night stands, TV, dresser, clock, closet with hangers, and 3 outlets for electronics. The AC worked well. There was NO safe for valuables.
The room had an additional living room area that had a pullout sofa couch, sofa chair, table, mini fridge, coffee maker, desk and chair, and 4 more outlets.
The bathroom had a toilet, bathtub/shower combination, sink with countertop space, hairdryer, and 4 more outlets.
The gym is separated into two different rooms. One room is a weight room and one is a cardio room (down the hall from each other).
The weight room had dumbbells to 50 pounds, kettle bells to 40 pounds, preset barbells from 20 to 110 pounds, 2 benches, a cable machine, 2 stationary bicycles, and exercise balls.
The cardio room had 4 ellipticals, 5 treadmills, 2 speed stationary bicycles, and a row machine.
The lounge was very nice. It was huge with lots of seating. It was clean and spacious. In the evening, they had Asian noodles, ribs, salad, cheese, deli meats, crackers, whole fruit, vegetables and dip, and sushi.
Overall the hotel is a little further away than others but it does offer a shuttle. My room was nice but a safe would have been nice. The gyms offered a variety of equipment. The lounge was fantastic. I would stay here again.
This is a very dated property undergoing a major remodel. They've done a fantastic job updating the lobby / bar area and the addition of a little market. The rooms are still quite dated and beds old. The remodel is to be completed Summer 2019.
I'm Platinum, and they had no upgrades available early on a Monday...they didn't say it was because of the remodel. The lounge is nice though and will save you from paying $30 for a breakfast.
Location: While this is called the Airport Marriott, this is not the one next to the airport. That is the Airport Waterfront on Old Bayshore Highway. While there isn't any restaurants or places of interest to walk to from this location, a quick Lyft will get you into San Mateo which is nice. It is also nice to hop over to Half Moon Bay if you have time.
The hotel is nice - spectacular lobby, good service, clean room. It was hard to find the entrance, the Uber driver drove around a bit before we figured it out. The entrance faces the highway.
We asked for, and got, a quiet room. It was clean, spacious, and had a little balcony.
There is a dining room/cafe in the lobby. The service is adequate. The food is adequate. The prices are San Francisco adequate.
I had an amazing experience at this Marriott. I especially want to put a shout out to Cody who treated me better than I have been treated at almost any hotel. He was warm, kind, and attentive. My room was not available (at 11am, which was much earlier than check-in). He communicated well and did all he could to make my stay comfortable. The entire hotel staff was friendly and efficient. I even changed my other hotel reservations for future trips to stay at a Marriott. Very very happy!
