Clean, Nice Staff, but needs some upgrades

We were in town for the Rose Parade, and stayed here due to proximity to Pasadena. The hotel staff we encountered were all top-notch and helpful, and the room was very clean. The room was quiet, as well. However, our room had a musty smell and we had trouble with the heat. The system blew warm air when needed, but instead of shutting off when it reached the desired temp, it started blowing cold air. Our sink stopper didn't work properly, and the water pressure in the shower was low. We asked for repairs to our sink, and we thought they were made, but we never could get it to work. The restaurant staff is nice, but the food is primarily frozen and re-heated, with very few items "made from scratch". I opted for a grilled cheese sandwich and it was not very tasty. The lobby is beautiful, and the rooms look pretty, too. The infrastructure just needs some work. And one more thing: the only restaurants close to the hotel are Asian (there isn't even an In-N-Out Burger close to the place). So you have to drive if you want to go to any other type of restaurant.

The staff was very friendly. The location was great. I was able to walk to a near by park which was really nice as I enjoy outside workouts. The tray of fruit in my room was a really nice touch along with water battles replaced daily.

Clean Hotel; Courteous Stafff

We were in town for the Rose Bowl, and we chose this hotel because it was less expensive than hotels in Pasadena. Our entire 4 day stay was great. This hotel truly had the most competent, kind, and attentive workers I have ever met. All the employees were helpful and courteous from the valets, to the front desk workers, to the restaurant attendants. We paid for a package, so our buffet breakfast was included which was outstanding. There was so many different types of food and drinks to select from, and it was all fresh and delicious. We also ate dinner there once, and it was terrific as well. I cannot stress enough how clean and safe this city was. We never worried about walking around by ourselves to seek out places to dine including a great bakery across the street.
