Reviews
I liked this hotel, but if I have to be critical, the rooms were small, the street is loud and there are not many amenities. It was nicely updated and clean, but don't plan on anyone giving you individual attention.
I was in San Francisco for a conference. The staff at the Stanford Court were courteous and helpful. They gave great recommendations and were very helpful when I needed assistance securing transportation to and from the airport.
Convenient location. Looks recently renovated. The room was very clean and well furnished. The bathroom area needed more TLC. Our floor tiles were damaged and chipped in a couple of areas. The bathtub looked old and needs to be replaced or resurfaced. The bathroom wall near tub had mildew in the grout. Most 4-star and higher hotels now have walk in showers, rarely do we see bathtubs with shower curtains. So we were surprised to see this especially since it was obvious they had renovated some of the fixtures. The sink unit was newer but the towel rod juts out from the unit so it was hard to lean over the sink without the rod pushing against you. Since we checked in late in the evening, around 11pm, we felt that we were given a room that’s usually not used often. It’s location was very, very far from elevators and at the end of a very long inner hallway. It was like a maze trying to find the room initially and later, trying to find the elevators. In general, nice hotel with courteous staff, but our room due to the bathroom was just OK.
2 days retreat in SF. City Center easy to reach via Powell Street (steep climb up, going back... or take the tram ($$)). Peers are a 30min walk, or go by cab. Rooms are big, ensuite bathroom good, with shower in bath. staff is friendly and 24h Gym with Peloton bikes also! Breakfast is great, in the lobby restaurant
We stayed in this hotel at the start of our West Coast road trip for our Honeymoon in July 2018. The hotel is in a great location, right in between Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown and Union Square. It's nicely tucked away from the main road with a great entrance and lobby area.
Upon check in the man behind the desk was very friendly and offered some advice during our stay, one of them was to hire bikes from Fisherman's Wharf and cycle the trail along the bay to the Golden Gate bridge (this was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!). We were offered an upgrade on our room when we first arrived at the hotel, this room was a few floors up from the original room we had booked so it had better views over San Francisco, it was definitely worth the extra money we paid.
The room was spacious and simple with a walk in wardrobe area which then went through to the bathroom. The bed was very comfy!
Overall this hotel was a great choice and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting San Fran!
PS - What an amazing City!
