Excellent experience

Was the first Starwood Hotel I stayed at on my honeymoon to the United States. They set the bar so high that all the subsequent hotels I stayed at on my trip were a disappointment. Although my stay was a short one, I will definitely remember this stay and the Westin branding has definitely impressed me

Great Restaurant

Great food and beer selection. Kid friendly with a kids menu. Even some of their own beer with local craft beers as a selection. Our servers Daniel, Erica, and Rueben were great servers! Would come back every year.

Disappointing for a Westin

It's a boxy hotel full of boxy rooms. Nothing fancy, nothing special. It felt a little bit run down. The pool is meh. There's no food at all available late at night -- nothing. The "coffee shop" closes mid-afternoon (why?), the bar food is so-so and only til closing, and there's no late night room service. If you get hungry you literally have to go out.

Staff all very nice, no problems whatsoever.

I was here for a conference (which was so ungodly cold I'll never go back) and will not return unless they do a rehab. Too many other great places to stay in SD.

Not too far of a distance from the convention center, we visited this restaurant during comic con and staff was so friendly especially Daniel, Erica ,and Ruben. Food was great, great atmosphere and would recommend to anyone.

Discover the Hidden Fees. And More!

Of course, this hotel is in a fantastic location. And the cleanliness is exceptional. Sure the hotel bed is cozy. And the concierge is extremely friendly. What I want to focus in on is what the other reviews lack. The hotel offers competitive prices, then tacks on plenty of fees. Resort fees add up fast and offer little perks. And the cost to park your car? Ridiculous. Go around the corner and it's half the price. Worst was the push to get you sign up for their green program where they don't send a maid. I am okay with not cleaning my sheets each night, but not even making the bed at a 4 star hotel? Crazy!
