How to Get There
The interior of the property is nicer than the exterior and was nicer than I expected. This is a nice full service hotel with Starbucks, restaurant and spacious lobby area. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Our room was pretty basic and a little small but was fine (the TV was huge). Only complaint we had is we were part of a large group where we did not have to pay the resort fee, so we would need to pay extra for WiFi in the room.
This Sheraton consists of two properties located a few hundred yards apart. We were in the Bay Tower. The property is conveniently located near the airport and has a lovely view. However, we had some problems with the room.
The walls are thin enough that we heard conversations in the next room and in the hallway. In my experience, most hotels have rooms with either a king or two queens. Our room had what appeared to be two doubles, making intimate activity somewhat difficult to manage.
One last thing: While the staff was friendly and efficient, the front desk was frequently understaffed.
Lovely hotel near the airport; they offered an airport pickup even after midnight and an upgrade request was accommodated before arrival. Nice concierge lounge, nice spacious suite overlooking the Marina. Just an overnight trip but a wonderful experience.
For a better water view, ask for Tower water view room.
Had the pleasure of returning to this hotel in San Diego which is in a great location on the harbour . We stayed in a Club room overlooking the marina. Lovely clean room although they seem to be getting a bit tired looking & in need of a little TLC. Room was nice & quiet & the beds comfortable, we had 2 doubles as we were told they have only a few king beds, which is unfortunate. Staff were all very professional & friendly. If you like to walk or jog there are some great areas very near the hotel.
There for a conference .After getting off eight hour flight shuttle arrived promptly . The hotel lobby was clean and fancy however the reception desk person was anything but warm and inviting . There is a difference when staying at a Marriott hotel in the caliber of trained personnel in the hospitality business verses the Sheraton . Unfortunately they have combined . The Sheraton person was curt and matter of fact . When I mentioned I was platinum elite Marriott member she had trouble finding the account and then let me know I would have to figure this out in my own by going online . Huh ? Impersonal service . I asked about the resort kayak . “ your conference waived the resort fee so you will have to pay for this yourself”. If one doesn’t mind that kind of “ I am not going out of my way kind of service “ for 209 plus dollars a night then this is the place for you. I won’t be back
