How to Get There
I come to San Diego every few years for a conference at the convention center and this is my favvorite place to stay. Right next to convention center, close to gas lamp district. outstanding pool, great workout facilities, everything I could want.
When in the San Diego area the Marriott Marquis is a spectacular resort offering everything a vacationer needs! The hotel is gorgeous! Checking in was quick and efficient. Our room location was exceptional in the North Tower on the 22nd floor with a harbor view and a lovely balcony! The view was vast; Coronado Island bridge along with the harbor boats were simply beautiful. The hotel itself has many dining options, the tequila bar, restaurant by the pool, was excellent, they have a market which offers 24 hour dining options, Starbucks is the lobby for a great morning coffee. At night check out the lounge which offers late night dining, live music on the weekends and is open until 1:30. If sightseeing is on your agenda you are steps away from The Midway. Shopping at Seaport Village is available right next door. This location is perfect, you don’t need your car for anything; the hotel has it all! You won’t be disappointed! We have added this hotel to our list of yearly travel destination!
We have stayed here before but the location, these amazing views and the friendly staff keeps us coming back. The encluded pictures are from our room today.
Right next to Seaport village for shopping and dinning and walking distance to Gaslamp and Petco field. With friendly staff and reasonable price, we cannot ask for more. Will definitely be back.
Top notice service in every aspect. From the time we pulled up to check in to checking out they treated us like royalty. We eat at any restaurants so can't give feedback on that but everything else was absolute perfect. Fantastic location to gas lamp district, marina and next to the convention center.
Stayed 3 nights. Very close to airport. Took 10-15 minutes with Uber. The hotel is quite large (two towers) and is next to the Convention Center so is very convenient. Checkin was ok and as platinum got upgraded to a 23rd floor with a Marina view. Was able to watch battleships go by and had a view of an aircraft carrier across the harbor. Room was standard Marriott with walk-in shower.
-- Located along the waterfront with easy access to the pedestrian walkway along the water. Great place for an evening or morning walk/run.
-- Location is within walking distance to the Gaslamp District. Lots of shopping, food, restaurants and entertainment.
-- The Concierge Lounge was on the 24th floor with a view of the harbor. Lot of staff standing around in the evening. Was not even asked whether I wanted a drink – so some service training might be necessary.
-- Was an easy Uber ride to Coronado Island
-- Starbucks on premise
-- Bed was lumpy…pillows horrible as usual. I travel with my own now-a-days.
-- Some bottled water in the room would be nice for loyal members
