Clean, quiet hotel

I stayed at the Marriott Del Mar with my family. The room is spacious, clean and looks like it’s newly renovated. The bathroom had a very nice and large shower. I’m also a platinum elite member. I tried to use one of my suite certificates but no upgrades were availability.

They have a lounge on the 12th floor. The lounge was small and hard to find seating for 4. The host was friendly and kept things moving in there. She was quick to refill the fridge when items were taken. The food was fine, nothing extravagant.

My only issue with my stay was that my daughter left her stuffed animal/pillow in the room. We called them 2 hours after we checked out about it and it wasn’t found. I know that she had it in the bed as I slept with her and this pillow the morning we checked out. This was a sentimental item to her and frustrated that it wasn’t retrieved. We were also suppose to receive a cal back about his and never did.

Newly remodeled hotel. Nice & clean

Last min. trip to San Diego & using priceline, this hotel was chosen. Was surprised with the newly renovated room. It was clean. The only complain I have is that there were dogs next door & they wouldn't stop barking. Other than that I was pretty pleased with the hotel.

A break for grandma

Just an overnight staycation, a break from family. Got a good rate on Priceline, so no surprise my 2nd floor room overlooked the roof of the 1st floor lobby. The room was nice, all rooms recently redone. Good AC and large tv. Cozy bed, and a seating nook was a nice addition. Beware the room doors, they slam shut behind you. The pool and hot tub are open early and stay open untill 11 pm which is nice. Plenty of towels, and the 3 cabanas are currently no charge, get down early. Cons here are the cost of food and drinks. Very pricy. Bring your own and make use of the room fridge. Parking 20 to self park.
