How to Get There
I booked a high floor pool view room and was given a low floor street view without a proper price adjustment.
Other than that annoying bit everything else was fine. Room was clean, gym was great and parking was self-park.
This Marriott has been completely renovated and is lovely. My room was immaculate, spacious, and nicely appointed. The lobby and restaurant were equally as nice, and the staff was super friendly and attentive. My A/C wasn't working and I had two technicians at my door within 15 mins (and they fixed it!) It's a convenient location--and for the price point, it's an excellent value. I couldn't have been happier, and I highly recommend it. I have already made another reservation!
Had reservation for Sept. 27 and upon viewing the room saw it was in poor condition. In general it was dirty-- hair and filth on toiletries, mold and soap scum in shower, crusty dirt on tissue holder, etc. I brought this to the attention of the front desk and showed them some photos of the room. The front desk seemed great. They apologized and agreed that the room "was not up to their standards." We decided to leave and front desk stated the room and overnight parking would be refunded, which made sense since we were not staying. Not only was it not refunded, Marriott will not respond to me.
I contacted Marriott through Expedia (where I made the reservation), through the Marriott website, and via email. I was told by Nyesha Gasper that the "executive team" would get back to me in no more than five business days-- that was on Oct. 8.
I don't appreciate being ignored and lied to. That is worse than the sub par room.
