Amazing experience
Reviewed 15 hours ago

I booked this hotel to enjoy a nice lavish evening befor I fly out the next morning. I was not disappointed as soon as I arrived Jordan and dean assisted me by picking up my bags and putting helping me transport them to my room. Being a service member in transport to my next duty station I have alot of things packed into small space. I want to say thank you for the great experience.

Hotel near Little Italy
Reviewed 1 day ago

Hotel is a little on the outskirts of Little Italy and the downtown waterfront. While it's not in the center of things, it's not very far. The hotel interior is fairly fresh and up to date. There is a coffee store and restaurant on the ground floor. Overall great experience.

Excellent Stay

I had a very comfortable stay here in a very large corner suite for 5 nights in December. Loved the lobby bar, lounge, rooftop space, and location-you will too. Employees were very friendly and helpful.

Stellar in San Diego
Reviewed 6 days ago

The hotel is downtown with plenty of restaurants in close walking distance. It is actually located near a large jail, but don’t let that deter you.

The lobby is well appointed and modern. Front desk staff were helpful.

The elevators are pretty quick.

The king corner room I had was spacious. There is a safe and a large flat screen as well as a little fridge. There was plenty of storage space. The bed was quite comfortable. The AC warmed and cooled efficiently. There was neat little nooks in the room by some of the windows. The bathroom had a large tub and a smaller glass shower.

The fitness room was clean and modern. Three treadmills. A few elliptical. Free weights that went greater than 50 lbs. It’s not a huge fitness center, but good enough as long as it’s not too busy.

The club lounge was nice. The indoor space was not huge, but there is also a nice outdoor patio. The breakfast offerings were adequate.

My only setback was in the bar/lounge area on the first floor. I sat down one evening and I actually was never approached by a waiter, much less served. It was busy, but that is no excuse. Even an acknowledgment would have been nice. I eventually got up, left, and went to the brewery/restaurant right around the corner. Despite this one negative experience, I would still give the hotel an excellent review.

Nice Place
Reviewed 6 days ago

This is a nice place, but parking is steep ($49/night). There is parking on the streets, but make sure that you park on the right side of the street overnight. For depending upon which side of the street you’re on, from 3 to 6 AM the street is closed for street sweeping. Remember that if the street sign says that there is no parking on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from 3 AM to 6 PM, then that means that you can actually park your cars on Tuesday night, Thursday night, and Saturday night, for at 3 to 6 AM, it is the following day. I mention that because we almost parked on the wrong side of the street thinking that we could not park on a Tuesday night. Inside, the hotel has a nice vibe, for it has louder music playing all the time. It’s not annoying music, but just nice, louder music. It has a festive feel to it. The hotel is conveniently located to Little Italy, and it’s restaurants are easily within walking distance. In fact, a lot of things are within walking distance, so this hotel is ideally located in San Diego’s downtown. The Star of India is within walking distance. San Diego’s trolley is within walking distance. And the nice thing about this hotel is that it is in a nice neighborhood. For those with concierge’s access, the offerings fall short. Each of the three nights that we have stayed thus far, the main breakfast item has been the same thing: smoked salmon. To be candid, I prefer bacon over smoked salmon for breakfast any day. I can understand a restaurant offering different main items for breakfast each day, but offering smoked salmon every day just doesn’t cut it. There is a good selection of fresh fruits in the morning, but the concierge’s lounge doesn’t open until 7 AM. In this day and age, that is simply too late. The rooms are nice, and the place has nice gym. All in all, I would recommend the place.
