How to Get There
This property has so much potential...in short I believe there are weak links within the management at this hotel. Once they get their service levels on par with a true 4 - 5 star hotel this place will continue to struggle on meeting the expectations of many of their customers.
We stayed here as part of a San Diego Golf Resort Tour my husband and I did. The grounds were beautiful and had a great views of the golf course and the ocean. Several military jets flew overhead, which sounded incredible.
If you plan to stay at this hotel, get ready to be nickel and dimed at every turn. The rate seemed a little high for but we figured it's right on the beach so it should be worth it. That was wrong. It's not on the beach at all. There's a 2mile+ hike to the beach. Fees started piling up as soon as we checked in. Self park was at $32/day, resort fee $30/day(although we didn't use the resort), etc. Then we were given a $10 credit toward food and told we can use that for our morning coffee. Great. In the morning as my husband went to get coffee, he was told he can only get ONE coffee with the credit! There's a long list of exclusions on the credit that we were issued which apparently included the second cup of coffee!! Are you kidding me? It's coffee!! We will not be staying at this hotel. This is not hospitality.
They sent an email to review the hotel and as I was getting ready to send in my concerns the review expired! Apparently, you must respond within 3 days. How very convenient.
12 family members needed a spot in between LaJolla and Del Mar. This could not have been more perfect. Nice big rooms, great pool and outdoor patio, super breakfast, and an awesome helpful staff at every turn. Can't say enough about this place and hope to return soon.
stayed there for business during the end of June for 2 days and had a great stay. The hotel staff was very helpful, especially the front desk. My room overlooked the 18th Green at Torrey Pines golf course. Great View!
