Jill at the front door was such a gem. I was at the hotel for a conference coming and going all week and she was always in the best mood. She set the tone for the stay. Everyone else was lovely as well. Thanks Jill!

Average Embassy Suites Hotel

I was part of a tour group stay one night at this hotel. Room had a little bit of a view of the harbor which was nice as sun was going down. Otherwise, this hotel was like other Embassy Suites I’ve stayed in.

The service at the San Diego Embassy Suites was sensational. Iniego was the BEST of the best !!! He always offers assistance with a smile and seems to be everywhere. He is friendly and helpful to all the guests at the hotel. Every hotel should have an Iniego !!!
The rooms at the hotel are comfortable , the breakfasts are delicious, the evening snacks are great. The location is ideal with amazing views of San Diego Harbor .

First time staying in San Diego... very impressed.

My friends and I came down for a mini girls trip. The valet was very helpful and checking in was a breeze. The room was comfortable. We woke up to eat breakfast downstairs and that’s what impressed us the most. They had an omelet station, lots of drinks to chose from, and lots of good foods. Later that night we participated in happy hour. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the water in the shower was not hot enough. It was a really nice hotel and I definitely recommend it.

It's a Hilton

I stayed at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego Bay Downtown. A co-worker stayed with me in my suite while we attended a conference at the Hyatt Manchester, across the street.

The Embassy Suites property is in a nice location, right in front of the water, across from some nice restaurants and in walking distance of some shopping and the gaslamp district.

The hotel is typical for an Embassy Suites, with an atrium from the ground floor to the top of the building, and the rooms built along the perimeter of the hollow square. At the bottom there is a large eating area, where the Embassy Suites guests can have their complimentary breakfast, or the drinks and snacks served during the complimentary happy hour. The two free meal services cut down on costs.

Rooms are large, as to be expected of a suite. The decor is a little dated (think 1990s) and could use a freshening up and I agree with some of the issues, like lack of water pressure. I think the hotel would be great for a longer stay (there are three sinks, including one that services as a mini kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave en suite). It's also great for families: kids are a constant here.

I don't agree that there aren't enough electrical outlets. I found them everywhere.

All in all, I thought it was a great value for my dollar and it was in a great location. I'd stay there again if I visited San Diego.
