We loved being at the perfectly located Embassy Suites, one of the most striking buildings in the Harbor. All is easily walkable from there, fine dining, USS Midway, the Boardwalk, ships coming in and out, view of the Coronado Bridge and much more. Couldn't be better! Tatiana at the front desk was especially helpful getting us settled!

Enjoyed our stay

Whenever we plan our staycation, Embassy Suites Downtown will always be out top choice. The rooms are big and clean. The views are amazing. I get to see downtown and the San Diego Bay. The most important thing is their amazing staff. Highly recommend Sheila Callera. She went out of her way to make sure we have the most enjoyable stay. Thank you again for the wonderful memories.

Excellent family hotel and close to Bay and Downtown areas

This hotel was not my first choice for our holiday but it was the last choice and the best choice! We booked a king suite with a balcony and received a double suite with no balcony, and that is the only negative review I can provide. With the exception of $50USD/day valet parking which cost us an arm and a leg after our 10 night stay.

Our room was spacious enough for our 9 month old to have his toys spread everywhere in the morning for a play and for the ten year old to watch TV. The two rooms were a saving grace and we had an amazing view looking towards Little Italy and the Midway Museum. It was a great spot to watch the cruise ships come in and out!

The location is perfect for the Bay Area, with SeaWorld only a 15min drive away on the I5. Balboa Park felt like it was just down the road. Sea Port Village was perfect for morning and evening walks and coffee - Starbucks!!

There was a Ralph’s Supermarket 800m away which had everything we needed - nappies, baby food, bread, spreads and drinks. The fridge and microwave were small in the room and there weren’t any kitchen amenities, but you can achieve a lot with plastic cutlery and paper plates!

The breakfast was great! Go early to avoid long lines though. The happy hour was great too! And some nights was enough for our dinner. The high chairs unfortunately weren’t the best with some having broken clips or no straps at all, so if your little one still flings themselves around, watch out!

In the hotel information book in the room there was no mention of a guest laundry, as it only mentioned a laundry service and an expensive laundry price list in the wardrobe. By chance we went looking for the vending machine and there we also found two washing machines and two dryers costing $1.75USD/wash/load. This was on floor 11 as I’m not sure if there’s one on all floors.

We will be back for sure!

Been to this hotel three times and it is always a great stay. Staff is professional and helpful. I will go back again. For a free meal the complementary breakfast is great and the hotel bar serves awesome deviled eggs and pizzas.

This is a typical Embassy Suites room. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The happy hour was wonderful. It had more than just snacks. I would stay here again.
