Dirty room/ broke furniture
Reviewed 4 days ago

Upon arrival the first room smell like a sewer. Then the second had a broke night stand light. They love seat had a broke leg. Also the night lights on the corner of the bed 3 of 4 was broke. One of which was missing and other hanging by wire.
This DoubleTree doesn't have the same standard the other ones I stay at. I highly recommend not using this DoubleTree save your points.

Horrible Check Out
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

i stayed at this hotel for my sister's wedding. Overall hotel was basic, I honestly expected more for it being part of the Hilton chain. Room was very clean minus the peeling paint in the bathroom. Check-in staff was very friendly. Throughout my stay, the other staff members I ran into were helpful. Check-out was horrible. The girl at the front desk seriously looked like she did not want to be there. I checked out a few minutes after 8 AM. She just looked pissed. I asked for a printed copy of my receipt and she handed it to me as if I bothered her because I asked for a print out.. Just totally killed the positive vibe I had with the staff. After that encounter, definitely would not make this hotel my first choice. There are a variety of other hotels in the area, so I would go elsewhere.

Great hotel, great staff

This is a great hotel for getting around San Diego. Almost everything is a 15 - 20 min drive away. When I felt like chilling and just hanging outat the hotel it was nice. They have a pool, hot tub and fire pit! The restaurant is also very good with a variety of options.

The staff is awesome! They are very friendly, answered all my questions and have great recommendations.

Would definitely stay here again.

Questionable parking lot
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I was at the Double Tree Hilton San Diego for one night on a business trip. I drove in from LA and arrived around 10pm. When I pulled into the hotel driveway, I did not see valet service and there were no open spots near the front door to check in. I had no choice but to pull into the parking lot. Narrow is not a good enough word to describe the ramps in the parking lot. If you are not a good driver, STAY OUT!! You will not be able to get around this lot if you are not good with the dimensions of your car and have a good sense of its turning radius. I could see bent rails and car paint scraped along the way.

If that wasn't stressful enough, I could not locate the signs for the elevators once I found a spot. I felt it was safer to roll my bag down the ramps than to go into the stairwells late at night. I had to make sure there were no cars driving around because there would not be enough room for me and a car. When I finally got to the ground floor, I found the elevators and signs to the lobby pointing me down a very dark walkway.

The hotel itself was nicely appointed. Clean and updated lobby. The room was clean and updated.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you won't find many places to eat near the hotel. I thought that I'd find plenty of options on a street called "Hotel Circle" but I did not see anything even after driving the entire circle. You'll have to drive farther east on the 8 freeway to find an In N Out and a Wendy's restaurant.

Worst experience ever!

Do not stay at this hotel! If you have nut allergies do NOT eat the cookies they give you! All the terrible reviews are 100% true. Horrible location, horrible customer service, rooms are dirty, smelly and hall areas smell horrible! Just don't stay here then whatever you do
