How to Get There
The room was clean and comfortable. There was a wedding going on that we could watch from the balcony. Our room with a view was really just a good seat at the wedding because of the reception tent. Luckily we loved the music choices for the reception so it didn't bother us. I see that the room charges are all over the place based on the dates. Our base for a king with a view was $450 too much given we felt like wedding guests. The staff was nice.
You have to call to get service at the pool and the prices are too high.
The food was excellent at Scott's!
Definitely find out if there is an event before booking. The noise didn't bother us but could have been an issue if we wanted to sleep early.
good for an overnight stay ... had to wait a very long time at airport for courtesy bus ... rooms nice and clean and quiet ... Restaurant serves breakfast and have an evening meal menu, one will not go hungry..
Rooms are very comfortable and clean. The "heavenly" bed is exactly that..."HEAVENLY"! On the day we were supposed to checkout, we extended our stay another night....all because we loved our beds THAT much. All levels of service at the hotel were excellent and we used them all...valet, bellhop, concierge, restaurant, room service, housekeeping, etc. All of the hotel Team was professional and friendly. This hotel caters to weddings and has a beautiful river setting. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue. Hotel was also very quiet, which was appreciated! Anytime we are in Sacramento, we will stay here again.
Ever since this property became a Westin it has been much better. The rooms are nicer, the linens are higher quality and the service is better than it ever was before. We love to stay the weekend, watch the boaters on the river and relax. Brunch at Scott's is busy but delicious (try to sit outside). I've also used their meeting rooms for conferences and board meetings. Make sure you valet your car because the parking situation is their only challenge.
I’m SPG gold and visit a lot of these places, and generally I’m fairly lenient when it comes to a hotel. I’m still staying here as I write this so who knows if they’re going to retaliate.
The junior suite (which was about $300 a night - emphasis on the junior I guess) is a tiny little room with a nice view and an old couch and no curtains other than the world’s flimsiest shades, along with a bunch of cobwebs. The hotel itself is fairly well placed. Room service was nice but the coffee was straight up the worst I’ve ever had. Literally see through. When we complained they neither replaced it nor gave us money back, and only on going to the front desk did they give me 5000 points (really, who cares).
Housekeeping has basically ignored our room all day, and when we called to ask to speak to the manager she called back and was rude to my wife, barely addressing problems or doing anything to help.
I get that this isn’t exactly a boomtown for hotels, but this is a joke.
