High-tech exec hideaway in East Palo Alto featuring a cool rooftop pool, spa and seasonally-inspired Italian fare

The Lowdown

As befits its position at the heart of Silicon Valley, this 200-room Palo Alto high-rise sports an ultra-modern design, sleek décor and state-of-the-art technology. The signature Four Seasons touches are still present though, like discreetly luxurious textiles and furnishings, a top-notch spa–overseen by respected spa maven Rachel Lao–and fine dining. Families are made to feel welcome with children’s amenity kits, babysitting services and family-oriented activities. Grown-ups, meanwhile, will adore the glamorous rooftop pool, which comes with poolside service and WiFi so you can stake out one of the stylish cabanas and relocate your office for the day.

In the Area

Stock up on the region’s finest bounty at the famed Palo Alto Farmer’s Market, a volunteer-run non-profit encompassing over 50 vendors, all peddling delicious organic produce. Wander through the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University, which houses over 400 sculptures, including an impressive collection of Rodins. Then get spendy at Stanford Shopping Center, where you can browse the racks at Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Louis Vuitton and Burberry before tucking into sesame chicken and pot stickers at Hong Kong-inspired eatery Yucca de Lac.

Great Experience

Quiet rooms, clean, great service with attention to detail. Comfortable beds, loved the Le Labo toiletries. Sat outside for breakfast and enjoyed the perfect weather. Also...4th of July fireworks from the 9th floor were awesome.

Amazing customer service!

We enjoyed our stay at this Four Seasons. The staff was really top notch from check in to the restaurant to the pool. In fact, Ashley at the pool made our pool time the best it could be! I knocked one star off this review due to some badly needed updating in the spa. The spa only had a steam room that was mediocre at best. It was not steamy enough, didn't smell nice, and needed new tile and or grout. I would also like to see a hot tub or dry sauna as well. I should also note that the beds were fantastic, but the walls did seem a little thin as we heard a lot from our neighbors. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Business travel

I love this hotel, the staff, the location and the freeway doesn’t bother me a bit. This was my first visit as I was in town for a conference at Stanford. This place did not disappoint and I hope to visit again!

Double charged and bad accounting
Reviewed 1 week ago

We wanted to give a higher score but we were double charged which gets pretty pricey with $15-20 drinks. We then tried to get a refund but they have yet to give us our money back. I emailed their accounting department and they stated they would refund us but I have yet to see that and it’s been 6 business days. They did not offer anything else either for their mistake other that this is a great coaching opportunity for their staff.
