Relaxing, Inspiring, and Ideally located
Reviewed 6 days ago

My recent stay at Dinah's was wonderful. I was in town on business and live on the East Coast. I wasn't sure what to expect upon arriving and had looked at the area on the map, expecting a quaint place like a mid rate hotel, however Dinah's exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, quiet, and relaxing with many if not all overlooking koi ponds. The sound of the trickling water helped put me to sleep some nights. Complimentary ride service within 5 miles was a plus and the hotel is ideally located across from Su Hong, a great Chinese restaurant, and Hobee's, a California chain serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner or you can enjoy a delicious meal at the hotel restaurant by the pool. If you're an avid walker like me you can also easily walk to downtown Palo Alto or take a Lyft/Uber into Menlo Park and make the walk back down to Palo Alto. There's plenty in the area to see and do. The train from the Palo Alto station will take you up and back to San Francisco on a day pass for less than $20. I highly recommend a stay at Dinah's.

Unique place to stay

It was our second time in this hotel and we really enjoyed staying there. It started with a warm „Welcome back!“ and finished with a nice swim in the pool. We love the big rooms and the ponds, the trees and the fountains in front of the window. It is really a unique place to stay and lovely spot of nature within the suburb.

Well Kept Dated Hotel, Great Restaurant, Weird Smell
Reviewed 1 week ago

I've stayed here for work 3 times and it's remained about the same over the past 2-years.

In terms of cons, the hotel is very dated in terms of rooms and decor. It also has a very odd smell, which seemed to stick to my clothes as it smelled like I was back at the hotel as soon as I opened my suitcase when I got back. I had to wash everything as soon as I got home. It's very pungent and had a combination of musky/chemical smell. Also, the front desk staff didn't seem as cheerful as they once were.

In terms of pros, the grounds are very well kept. The pool always seemed to be very clean. The rooms were also very clean (smell aside). The food at the restaurant was great, especially breakfast. Dinner there is a little on the pricey side for what you get. The service was definitely good.

Great hotel with attentive staff and VERY clean suite.- Pet Friendly -

A wonderful visit to Dinah’s. We recently stayed at Dinah’s for combination of business and catching up with friends. It worked out perfectly. First the hotel is centrally located. The hotel really does have everything you could need on a stay away from home. I used the convenient in room yoga mat and the gym in building 100. We took all of our meals on property. We had excelent wait staff and service. For dinner I would order the lamb chop again. The French toast for breakfast was a hit. The hotel is now pet friendly and we will be bringing our dog next time. I will be returning because the rooms were very clean. The friendly engaging staff who I interacted with our group was just enough without being intrusive.
Last but not least a Grammy award winning musician was also a guest and treated us a an after dinner concert that I will always remember.
