How to Get There
Started with a musty smelling room and key cards slots to allow electric to flow.
The bed was incredibly hard and carpet had couple of holes.
Worst part was late night arrival and when I went to take a shower I found no proper hair conditioner only a two in one shampoo. I had to leave to go out to store and purchase. Another notable item was there was no tissue.
Overall room felt cheep and where they cut corners for savings and put that money into the lobby and dinning area which I would give two thumbs up.
I would not stay there again and had I not been hit with cancelation fees I would have checked out and went across the street to the Hampton.
I was here for the weekend for a music festival and the hotel itself is charming, the building is nice, the staff very nice, the rooms are tastefully done. Bathrooms are great. Always clean. They include free breakfast which is nicer than the usual free breakfast - you can get an omelet done to order. The pool area is nice and clean. It would have been a perfect stay but for two things- if the beds were comfortable, but alas they are not and the sheets felt like they would cut you. Points off also for having PTAC air conditioning. It is the worst. Room is always swampy in a PTAC A/C room and it will rarely be cold enough- the only way you will be able to ventilate your room is to open your window- they will only let you open the window an inch but if it is dry and cool outside do this to ventilate your room otherwise its swamp city. (over time it will be mold city) Overall a nice hotel- there is shopping everywhere around you, but i would not stay again because of the PTAC Air conditioning. I like the feature where you stash the room key on the wall to work the lights. They do this in Europe to save energy, makes it easy to always find your room keys.
Stayed here with a friend during Desert Daze. Online the hotel looked lovely and the rate reasonable. The omelet bar as part of the complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus. Excellent water pressure in the shower and nice big oval tub and refrigerators in the room worked great.
Now for the bad. The sheets and mattress were unbearable beyond the first night. Plenty of shopping nearby, so we purchased good sheets and washed & dried them in the guest laundry but it still didn’t help the terrible mattress situation. The AC unit in the wall didn’t work well at all and the window only opened a few inches. Due to the unfixable problem with the AC and horrible mattresses, we cut our three day trip down to only two and checked out early.
We won’t be staying here again unless they get better mattresses and air conditioning.
