Very Enjoyable Stay
Reviewed 1 week ago

We spent three nights at The Belamar while attending a family function. We're normally Marriott or Hilton travelers and found the quality and amenities to be on par with a Courtyard or Hilton Garden Inn with a few fun extras. We loved taking advantage of the in-room record player, under-bed lights and loaner bikes. The room could have used a clock and a few more outlets, but overall we had a very nice stay.

Tired looking
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We’ve stayed there twice before but this time the lobby and common area had stained carpets and furniture. I loved the take out 78 LP albums and record players in the rooms but the staff was preoccupied with each other rather than their guests and they not only misplaced my reservation. ..They did the same to my colleague when he checked in later. Needs a good manager to get it back to the its old retro super style. Great location and I scored an upgrade to a great big room. Hope they lure me back with service. Needs central air as well instead of noisy wall units.

Great hotel next to LAX and Manhattan Beach
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We stayed in this hotel before heading to LAX and it was a pleasure.
We booked the pancakes and parking option and a deluxe junior suite, room 100, and it was very large and very clean. The food was very good both room service and breakfast.

Only 5 mins from the beach and 5 mins from the airport so a great way to spend our last night in LA.

Awesome stay at Belamar!

We absolutely enjoyed our brief sojourn at the Belamar Hotel. This full service boutique hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very well appointed, clean, and roomy. The robes were absolutely plush! And valet service definitely a plus. Also loved room service. Did I mention it 's so close to the beach and LAX... so convenient! Will definitely stay here again when we're in the area!

Convenient location, but Poor condition, tired, desperately needs TLC and update
Reviewed 2 months ago

I am a big fan of other Pacifica hotels and just stayed at the Belamar. I stayed there a few years ago and chose to return, primarily for the location.
After checking in, I remembered why I hadn't returned recently. There are many aspects of the hotel that are just plain bad. The carpet up the stairs, and on the second floor by the restaurant and business center are badly stained and the area smells.
The work out room is way, too small, badly ventilated and needs an update.
All of this makes you wonder what else in the hotel is being forgotten.
You also need to be careful of the room you get, as some back on or a close to Sepulveda- a very busy street.
With so many other hotels to choose from, I would stay away, at least until the owners decide to invest in the building.
