Great Place
Reviewed 6 days ago

Went to Mammoth in June to go fishing. Found this gem by chance. Staff was helpful courteous and professional. My room was clean and very comfortable with plenty of room for all my gear. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. Overall I can’t wait to come back to the area and this will be the first place I look to stay.

Great!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. I noticed others have said in need of decoration etc but I personally feel it is the rustic, oldy-worldy vibe and style of the place which makes it. It was nice to have a difference as opposed to the perfectly immaculate and minimalistic modern hotel. But again it just depends what you're after. It was definitely clean!

It is a great location in the centre of Mammoth Lakes- we walked most places or used the public transportation system. As for food, we ate at Rafters (which i believe is the restaurant linked to the hotel) which was nice but there are so many other places to eat nearby and supermarkets etc.

I believe there is a resort fee of around $28 a night- please be aware of this. There are facilities included in this such as free mini golf, pool tables and the outdoor whirlpool which we made the most of. We also arranged a free pick up and drop off at the airport from one of the hotel staff which was great. The staff member here was really kind and informative.

The only thing I would say really is there seemed to be a lack of communication between staff and their system. As I checked out I went to pay the resort fee in cash and was told it was already paid when I booked. A few days later it was unknowingly taken out of my bank and when I emailed the hotel, they said it was my responsibility to pay it at the end (conflicting information)! I also asked about the time of our shuttle back to the airport for one staff member to say they can't find anything on the system and they don't do them (When they do)? Also that we could stay in the room later after our check out time as it was quiet for someone then to say we have to be out for 11.

As I say overall it was really great and we would probably stay again. I feel some of the staff probably just need to make sure they are on the same page!

2 nights booked - 1 night stayed

Shabby - desperately in need of redecoration and deep cleaning. Dodgy electrics. No air conditioning. The town just needs a few tumbleweed balls and then it would be complete. Nowhere decent to eat. We had booked for 2 nights but have paid extra for another hotel to escape this dump

We come here multiple times a year. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great location. This is the Best Buy for your money. The big plus is the a/c in the rooms for the summer months. Go ahead push the buttons and stay here.

Family Vacation

Had the best time at this resort. Staff were very friendly and quick to assist. We stayed in the 2 story chalet with which was very clean well furnished. Unfortunately it rained on us the 2nd day there but they had a kids activities room with games, movies and activities for my kids ages 9, 10 and 4yrs. When it wasn't raining they played miniature golf and went swimming. The front lobby had games available to check out as well. Will definately be coming back to this resort on my next visit. Resort is walking distance to restaurants as well.
