Perfect stay at Toll House Hotel
Reviewed 5 days ago

First time in Los Gatos and I stayed with the Toll House Hotel, recommended by colleagues. I've had a very pleasant stay, perfect rooms, great services, large parking garage with EV charging spots, lovely breakfast and friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Los Gatos and the area.

Find relaxation in the Valley

The best place I ever experienced in the Silicon Valley for having a relaxed weekend and to recover from and forget about business. The atmosphere was like on a holiday resort still small and easy to reach. I will for sure spend my nest weekend I the area at that place.

Charming unique boutique california hotel

Spent several nights over the weekend to attend a wedding. The bar is excellent and hosted a party for all the out of towners attending the wedding. Eay walk to the main street in Los Gatos. We stopped at the ABEO store and bought a pair of sneakers. Resturants abound in this area. We took an uber from San Jose Airport.

It was a nice place and very friendly staff. Los Gatos is a fun place to stay. The cookies were delicious. The restaurant had a great breakfast menu. The room was a good size and the bathroom had recently been updated which was nice.

Gone downhill I'm sad to say
Reviewed 1 week ago

We have stayed at the Toll House for the past few years and sadly, watched it go downhill. It's a great location because you can walk anywhere in the downtown area, but like many popular hotels, after a while they quit investing in maintenance and try to ride the wave. We have really enjoyed it here in the past, but this is likely our last stay here.
The issues we had:

-- Confusing room selection. We were immediately upgraded to a "premier king" but then found there is really no such thing. I'm not sure if it's just a marketing scam or not.
-- The carpet, wall coverings, etc. are all getting dated and need replaced. It doesn't feel much different than nice Best Western or something like that. One of the tiles on the front steps was loose and it was just blocked off rather than being fixed. The repair would have been easy.
-- We were there four days and every one of the days had business meetings going on. No problem with that other than most of the common areas are not accessible to hotel guests. They had signs up all week directing hotel guests to detour through the hallways in order to get out the front door because the lobby area was set up for refreshments for the meeting attendees. Additionally, the noise from the bar every night was much louder than it has been in the past. It really felt more like we were sleeping in a small convention center than a hotel.

If you can book this for about $150 off season and $200 in the peak, I'd still do it but otherwise I'd look on down the road.
