How to Get There
Booked for a night with work. The hotel is trying to be trendy and succeeds in some areas. The downstairs lobby is great.
The room I was less impressed with. The black sink was horrible. It was cracked, and others things in the bathroom were chipped or damaged. It was an example of design over function. The mattress had a plastic cover on the mattress which meant it sounded and felt horrible. The lamp on the desk was broken. Everything was black. It was horrible.
The area wasn’t great.
Room was EXPENSIVE...very nice and looks recently remodeled...great lobby, bar (excellent margaritas! ) Wasn't worth the money, but it was close to Dodger Stadium for concert...valet parking, no street parking not sure it's open to the public or just to guests... Shout out to Teena at reception and to EMERITO...bartender!! Makes the best margaritas, and was very pleasant funny and attentive!
A/C was not very efficient...never really got cool enough...
As a frequent guest at this hotel, usually twice a week, I can always count on Wellington for a great welcome and a great smile!!!!!! If you plan a stay at this fantastic hotel please say hello to Wellington!
The hotel is very clean, service is prompt, and the staff was friendly. Our room was small (we were looking for a bargain), but it was REALLY small for $200 a night. I'm including parking on that bill BTW. The studio room that my wife and I shared was comfortable, but we didn't expect a Murphy bed. Oh well, HBO, decent artwork on the walls and a friendly bartender downstairs made for a pleasant stay.
What can I say? From the valet to the front desk to the housekeeping staff to every single person we encountered during our stay, the service was perfect. We felt welcomed and valued. I read another review that said the rooms are small. Yeah they are a little small...it's a small hotel. But everything else about it makes up for that. We will absolutely be back!
