Plaza La Reina has all the luxe makings of a perfect Los Angeles base. Elegant, Spanish-inspired hardwood-floored rooms and suites with 4k TV? Check. A fabulously well-connected, 24-hour concierge? Check. A menu for in-room dining? You got it. There’s even a rooftop lounge, where you can soak up that famous California sunshine, before heading outside and immersing yourself in the tastes, sights and sounds of the City of Angels.
After all, you can’t be a base without a convenient location, and this one’s is right in the heart of the action – in Westwood and just steps from famed Wilshire Boulevard. Minutes away are some of the city’s best dining destinations, plus the shops of Rodeo Drive, for scoring some new digs to pair with your newfound tan. And the Getty Museum, Venice Beach and the clubs of West Hollywood are all an easy drive; just hop in your own car, or better yet, tap the concierge to set up an exotic car or limo. Because if you’re going to do L.A. like a local, you might as well go all out.
The inspiration for your room’s design is Spain in the 1920s, though the cherry hardwood in the flooring hails from Brazil. Sweet details include a 55-in. 4K flat-screen HDTV, premium full-sized Etro bath amenities and Fili d’Oro bedding – among many, many others. Premium Junior suites are 560 square feet, with a balcony or patio, while Premium One Bedroom suites measure 665 square feet, with a trellised outdoor space on upper floors. The Queen’s suites are 925 square feet, each complete with a 190-square-foot balcony apiece.
Centrally located near Wilshire Boulevard, this Beverly Hills-adjacent spot puts you a quick walk from the UCLA campus and a short drive from West Hollywood’s vibrant nightlife, Rodeo Drive’s designer boutiques and miles of beaches (eccentric Venice Beach is a must-see). Don’t miss museums like the Getty, just a short walk from the hotel.
How to Get There
What a gem in the heart of Westwood village.
I can't recommend this place enough.
Clean, spacious, great staff and managers.
New property with full kitchen and best bed I ever sleep in.
Parking situated right under the hotel with easy access to your room
The room is very nice and clean. Location is great! It's close to UCLA and WestWood downtown. And it is also very quiet. Highly recommended.
Employee at the front desk is very nice and helpful. The wifi is good quality too.
If you are needing to visit UCLA or the Westwood area, you could not ask for a better location. The rooms are formatted as little apartments. Underground parking is included with easy entry - a must in LA. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The kitchen is limited to Keurig, microwave, dishwasher (full cutlery and dishes) and the usual small refrigerator. Very functional. The ADA units with roll in showers are well designed with better grab bar configurations than most generic hotels and ample wheelchair parking. The only reason for loss of a star is the hotel is minimally staffed and we had major confusion about little things like getting three sets of towels for three occupants and sheets for the otherwise comfortable sofa bed. Otherwise this is a five star property in the heart of the UCLA campus area. The price is competitive but that saying the Wilshire Blvd. properties are way high priced. I have stayed in many full service properties in this area and this place is head over those places if what you are looking for is a comfortable place to stay for a good night sleep. Plaza LaReina delivered wonderfully.
We spent two nights at this beautiful boutique hotel in Westwood Village during the Genesis golf tournament. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Walking distance to some great resturants. Would absolutely stay here again!!!
I also hesitate to write this review for fear the jewel will be discovered by the throngs and may no be available in the future. I cannot say enough: the staff, so friendly and accommodating, the service at your fingertips, and the place itself is absolutely beautiful! Our room was up an elevator across a lovely tiled courtyard with gorgeous plantings and water fountain, and up a short staircase. The door opened into a very large room with a comfortable living area, a well thought out kitchen area complete with washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator and lovely glassware, dishes, coffe maker and everything one might imagine one would for an extended stay. Beautiful bedroom area, bathroom and terraces with which to view the moon over the Tuscan rooftops that comprise the hotel and its neighborhood. What more could one ask for? Located in a quiet corner of Westwood with many choices of nearby restaurants. I have never been so charmed as this small and lovely hotel.
