The Manager KRISTEN from Day one of me speaking to her over the phone all the way from Durham NC was WONDERFUL! I booked hotel online had some booking issues. Spoke with her and she corrected everything perfect! I was happy with the accommodations. She went over and beyond with really paying attention to the situation of what was going on and what I needed! She listens she cares and she’s all about figuring out a solution and making the customer happy with no hustle! Then there’s NICOLE another wonderful person going over and beyond when I needed help and my situation was a little confusing! They both made were very pleasant! Handled the situation has if it was there own! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM AND COULD NOT STOP HUGGING THEM AND TELLING THEM THANK YOU. Having a long flight from the east coast of NC to the west LA and also having to work during BET Experience/ Awards can be very stressful and tiring. They nailed it! DEFINITELY KEEP THEM IN THERE POSITIONS UNLESS YOU’RE PROMOTING THEM!!! Definitely look into it! They are helping the LUXE NAME BE GREAT!!! Love you guys and see you the next time I’m in LA!!! XOXO Almost forgot Hernan with breakfast was GREAT! He was very pleasant, got food out for you. Very nice! I felt like I was in a high end restaurant. He should be manager for food if he isn’t already! Please promote him! There were other great staff that I can’t remember there names. Helping with my luggage! I could go on and on!!! Steps from Staples Centre

Came to the city for an NBA game at Staples centre and stayed at this hotel once again due to the easy positioning of the hotel. It is a mere 5 minute walk and thus do not need to get stuck in traffic going to and leaving the game. We visited other areas with quick taxi rides here and there.

It's close to where everything is when at a convention!

I recently stayed here for a national convention in my field, the location is awesome except when walking to the convention center itself. Otherwise you are right where all the activities will most likely occur. It's a better location than the big national hotels down the road which are pushed by the meeting planners. They have coffee in the lobby for you every morning, they supposed to give you two water bottles at check in. I didn't get mine until the last night of a four night stay. What happened? I don't know but minus one star, the other missing star was because when I asked for a mini frig to store some medication I needed to take, I was told in a rude manner that it would be supplied if there was one available. Even though I had this request on my initial reservation. The hotel is not new nor newly renovated, some areas like the bathrooms were quite dated, but my room served it's purpose, I just needed a place to sleep while attending a work meeting. Like other reviewers state if your room faces the street expect quite a bit of noise from the street people playing drums, etc. I would stay here again only if the historic hotel kiddy corner was not available, I do think this place is better than the big box hotels down the road. Overall, not bad, could have had better service/ courtesy from the front desk employees.

Overall our stay at Luxe for 5 nights was comfortable barring a few service related issues which I have explained in my review.

The property is in a nice central downtown location. Opposite the Grammy museum and walking distance to the Staples arena. Also several bus stops and metro/tram stations nearby for an easy commute.

There is also a nice bar inside the hotel premises on 2nd floor which has live karaoke/music band every Saturday after 9:30pm till 11. However, it can also become a nuisance for guests trying to sleep on the upper floors when drunk patrons in the bar start to sing at the top of their voices half past midnight!

The hotel provided a coffee maker for alone which they deserve 4 stars as in my two months trip to the US, I stayed in 15 hotels all across the country from east to west coast, and there were only a few who provided a coffee maker!

The rooms were clean but the equipment was clearly aged. The alarm clock in our room had a desktop charger for iPhone 3GS!! The TV was not working the first day, but we did not bother to complain. Second day onwards it worked, and we watched Game of Thrones on HBO in the hotel! The Aircon was fine with thermostat control.

The WiFi was very very poor. It was an unsecured open public access connection and not restricted to hotel guests only. I was getting 0.3Mbps speed. I used my data connection mostly to do important tasks pertaining to emails and airline checkin.

The view from the room was average and we had the street view with Grammy museum across the road and a partial view of Staples center. I have posted some pictures from our room.

The King size bed mattress was smaller than the bed frame itself. Meaning the edges of the bed were building out from all sides by 4-5 inches.

The room safety deposit box was good in size and we kept all our valuables like laptop etc in it.

The housekeeping service was good, but they did not change all the dirty linen and just folded them nicely again!

Our check-in experience was good and we received two complimentary water bottles.

However, at the time of checkout, without confirming with us the lady at the reception finalized the statement. When I requested that I need to take a look, I was surprised to see $115+ charges for two nights parking. When I confronted to these charges, they checked with Valet who said there are no charges for our room. Then the lady said she will reverse those extra charges. Also, the destination fee was charged twice per day to which she could not give any satisfactory response. Room charges were mentioned as Internet Charges! Overall billing is sure a mess and confusing.

Further, we made it clear to them that we did not use any stuff from the automated refreshment center, and that we can wait until housekeeping can do the physical inspection as we don't want to be surprised with erroneous charges appearing on our statement. but still three days after checkout, we were charged $5.46 separately.

Overall we were charged $21 over the full booking price for the services we did not use. Unlike other hotels they did not send any statement by email so we could check what were those charges for. Not that I am going to dispute this amount, but this has left a bad taste in our mouth.

I made a deposit of 300 dollars and after one week they have not refund me!!! plus they charge to my credit card me around 80 dollars without inform me. I wrotte them to have explanations and I have not recieved any answer!
be careful!!!!
