Comfortable hotel, a little pricey

We stayed at the Indigo for several nights as part of a big birthday treat. After reading reviews here, we asked for a room well away from the noisy Club room, which was arranged with no problem. The room itself was big, bright and very comfortable. A few minor quibbles — the room was spotless when we arrived but housekeeping was a bit hit and miss afterwards, and the air con was loud (despite a note vaunting its low decibels) and with an irritating bright green light. I felt the hotel was expensive for what we got, although it is probably in line with Downtown LA prices. It’s in a convenient location - and a safe one, despite the qualms of some reviewers here. We like walking and found this a good base to visit LA, with a metro station at 7th not far away. We found all the staff to be professional and friendly. I’d stay again.

Amazing service

This hotel is a gem in downtown LA! The room was beautiful, stunning views of the city and very comfortable. That being said, the service was even better! They use a texting service that is very efficient and has an oddly personal touch. Any time I needed anything I texted and my requests were met.... bottled water (in glass bottles!), coffee, or a cocktail. Wonderful service, lovely accommodations. Highly recommend the Indigo Hotel!

This hotel met every need we had....

We were visiting Los Angeles for family weekend at USC. This hotel is ideally situated in that you can avoid the Insterstate by simply traveling 2.5 miles down S Figueroa Street to the University. It is also walking distance to a number of downtown attractions and dining venues such as LA Live.

The hotel decor was well developed and it has a nice feel to it. The lobby bar is a welcome oasis after a long trip or a long day. We had a few meals at the restaurant and were never disappointed.

The room was roomy. Sometimes the standard room in an urban hotel can make it fell hard to even turn around. That was far from the case at this hotel. Walking in you see a large distance between the beds and the credenza with plenty of space for your things. The bathroom was large with a nice shower. The beds were very comfortable. The room even has a small couch in the corner with a table and another chair.

The employees of this hotel were also incredible. Always there to lend a hand or handle a request and you never felt they were doing so grudgingly. Never a long wait for the car at valet. We were leaving one night as a small wedding at the hotel and several guests who were dining at the hotel restaurant were leaving and the staff still managed to get folks their cars quickly.

We will be making more trips to LA in the future and we will now be staying at the Hotel Indigo Downtown for each.
